My good friend lives there. It's very country. Like cowboy country. I like that- reminds me of Texas and you don't go through the grocery store fighting bus loads of foreign tourist groups! It takes her 40
Minutes to get to Disney from her place.
She doesn't have kids so I don't know about schools.
So it's very much small town America, yet only a short drive to orlando.

My parents have lived there for almost 20 years now. It's amazing to me how much its changed since then. While it is country, it's grown so much that, at least where they live, it has much more of a city feel to it. Every major retailor is there. They're off of 27 south of 50, so not really in Clermont proper, I guess.
I don't know about the schools as my younger sister has been out of them for quite some time now. It's a nice place to live, close to the parks but far enough that you're not dealing with all the tourists all the time.
Let me know what specifics you are interested in and I can see what I can find out for you.
