Default MCO to Hollywood Studios in 1:35?

3 adults, 2 children, 9 and 5. Using Magical Express, staying at Yacht Club. We could check in to the resort after the meal. I'm figuring no way and definitely no way without being a stress case, but thought I'd check. Flight arrives at 1:35 and only Fantasmic Dinner Package available that day is at 3:10.

I've resigned myself to waiting in line for Fantasmic that night but just curious if anyone thinks it is possible. Thanks!

I'm going to say no. The DME bus will likely make 1 or 2 stops before YC. You have to assume at least an hour from landing to arrival at your resort, but then you still have to get to DHS (boat ride takes like 20 min, if the boat is waiting at the dock); walking takes about 20 min, then you have bag check and entry, then walking all the way to the restaurant. No way. It's basically impossible.

Great info, thanks for the reply! I've seen recommendations of getting in line for Fantasmic up to 1.5 hours before showtime. Is this about right? DHS has EMH the evening we will be there. Just want to make sure we line up soon enough, but not any longer than necessary obviously. We will be at DHS a couple of more times during the trip, but only at night on this particular day so this is our only chance to catch Fantasmic.

I've always said, don't make plans within three hours of landing... An hour and 1/2 is impossible, especially with DME.

If you did a town car, possibly, but I still think you won't make it.

An hour and half for Fantasmic sounds about right... I used to wait two hours around when it first opened. It holds considerably less than the park, so if you gave only one shot, I'd get there early. They used to start waiting right after the last Beauty and the Beast show...

If you don't care where you sit, getting there about 45-60 min is sufficient. I've seen Fantasmic several times and never reallu arrived earlier than maybe 30 min before showtime. We are usually all the way up towards the back, but that works for us as it means a quick exit after the show.

Thanks guys! I'll survey the group and see if seating location is a big deal. It will be my 4th trip to WDW but for some reason I've never caught Fantasmic.

Are you booking fastpass+ ahead of your arrival? I believe Fantasmic is one of the fastpass+ options.

Fantasmic is very much worth the wait, and there's not really a bad seat in the house, so if you get there as the gate opens you may get in??

Totally agree with PP - no bad seats. We've never braved the line more than an hour ahead and usually more like 30 - 40 minutes.

I didn't notice your trip dates - that will make a difference. Higher crowd numbers will of course affect how early you should consider queuing up!

    It's a great show! Enjoy!
