    Default Best Non character Breakfast

We would like to go to a reasonably priced non character breakfast at one of the WDW resorts. Which one is the best?

I'd suggest Kona Cafe or Grand Floridian Cafe. For buffet, I'd choose Boma.

We dined at the Grand Floridian Cafe last trip, and really enjoyed it. It felt alot fancier than the prices reflected. I thought it was well priced and very nice. We also love Boma, and have been there many times. I love all the intense spices and flavors (love African and spicy foods myself) and I think they have a good selection of "standard" brunch fare, but if you don't like heavily spiced, exotic foods, it might not be for you.

We really enjoyed our breakfast at Whispering Canyon Café. They have an "all you can eat" option, or you can order from the menu. It was all hot and very yummy.

We ate at the Wave a couple of weeks ago. Very delicious! We selected off the menu, but they have a buffet also. We had excellent service! The prices were reasonable.

My husband and I really enjoyed the Wave breakfast buffet. Lots of fresh fruit and the drinks keep coming and were included in the cost of buffet. ( I like orange juice, ice tea and then coffee and was brought all 3 when I asked).

I recommended it to friends- a family with a 24 year old and 11 year old. They wanted to try a non- character buffet. They did not like it that much. Not sure why but they normally only go to counter service. In their 7 day trip, this was the only sit down they booked.

So not sure if it was an off day at the Wave or they are just not into buffets, but I hope you like it if you go.

My favorite is Konas and 2nd is Trails End.

As a group of 2 or 4 senior citizens (AKA old fogies) we prefer non character breakfasts. Our favorites include Kona Café, Grand Floridian Café and for counter service Wolfgang Puck's Express in the Marketplace at Downtown Disney. We will be trying The Wave as I saw they have Sweet Potato Pancakes on the menu, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they are same ones I used to get at Boatwright's back when they served breakfast.

Thank you everyone for the advice. I think we are either going to try Kona or the Wave.

If you like tradtional breakfast foods, I recommend Trail's End at FW. Great value.

Bounty Breakfast - served with Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Hash Browns, French Toast, and Biscuit - $8.79

Breakfast Buffet served 7:30am-11:00am - Fresh Fruit, Assorted cereals, sausage, bacon, Omelet of the Day, Scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, grits, oatmeal, beef hash, Mickey waffles, hot cinnamon spiced apples and Freshly baked pastries. The general price ranges for this meal are: Adults: $17.99-$19.16 Note that prices for this buffet vary according to the season, and even according to the day of the week (weekday vs weekend).

Kona Cafe is also a good choice. They have Tonga Toast !!

Grand Floridian Cafe is my personal favorite. We love the Lobster Eggs Benedict ! That is breakfast on the last day for our family (the only breakfast we do).

We have gone to Kona for breakfast, and while it is good, it isn't my favorite. Tonga Toast is just too sweet for me. I prefer Kona for lunch or dinner.

We've tried Boma, Kona and Trails End. While Boma and Kona might be considered to have better food we liked Trail's End enough to repeat. Can't say the same for Boma or Kona.

Boma seemed crowded and we simply didn't care for the food choices at Kona or Boma. Trail's End has plain food in a rather plain setting but it suits us better for non-character breakfasts. That might be cuz we just like campgrounds, too.

So we're not taking space away from you Boma and Kona fans!
