Update - Christmas taping did take place yesterday. We were there at about 11:00AM and Main Street was closed and they were already rolling the cameras. If you wanted to get into MK, you had to walk backstage. Park was very crowded, although Touring Plans had it at a 6 out of 10. We stayed in MK for an hour or two and then hopped over to Epcot and stayed there until about 5:30, getting back to MK just in time for the Frozen castle show. After that, people just poured into MK. At about 9:30PM, it was ridiculously packed, so much so that the line for WEDway was almost to the area by Tomorrowland stage. We ended up driving home around that time.

We did renew our APs and added waterparks and Quest. Even with the crowds, we still had a great time...

I spoke to some of the crew Friday morning. They're actually taping 4 days this year - small bits on Saturday and Sunday with the main stuff tomorrow and Tuesday. But it's still pushing the "3:00 parade" back to 5:00 all 4 days, which will, of course cause mass confusion.

Update - just a note on our parade experience on Mon., Dec. 8.
    It was a Zoo!
Yes, they did film for the entire 4 days this year. According to the guide on our Keys to the Kingdom Tour, the previous week, the 2 extra days were because of scheduling problems from one of the parade "stars".
My brother-in-law was able to do the Train Tour that morning before the filming began. By the time we got there about 10 AM it was raining buckets. With the construction around the hub area and the whole front of the castle area blocked off for filming, the foot traffic congestion was crazy. We did a little shopping in the Emporium and went to our Plaza ADRS. Thank goodness the food was wonderful and the restaurant was only half full (could it be no one was able to get through the crowds?)
And then we left. No 7 Dwarfs. Nothing else. Too many wet, miserable people. We went back to our villa and threw our sopping wet clothes in the drier and played cards until it was time for our Ohana dinner.
Side note - the director from the filming kept having to shout "Look Happy".

We were able to avoid most of the filming. We saw them taking away the set from a big musical number and it was AMAZING. Looked like a crystal factory exploded all over the entire castle with trees and icicles- cant wait to see that Christmas morning. They were moving everything off the castle stage and setting it up and filming a section with Robin Roberts and someone else. Not sure who sang on the stage before we got there ( the year we were there for filming it was Mariah Carey).

I almost missed the afternoon parade because it was moved to 5pm Mon and Tues of that week because of the filming.

Can't wait to see it all Christmas morning on TV!
