Default Leanord Nimoy - Mr. Spock passes into the great beyond

Sad to hear of Leanord Nimoy's passing today. I grew up on Star Trek, and while I remember him from other projects, including the illustrious singing career (If I had a Hammer) and most recently on the series Fringe, he will always be Mr. Spock.

RIP and thanks for all the memories.

    He will truly be missed.

Along with his portrayal of Mr. Spock, I enjoyed his "In Search Of...." series as well as his stint on Fringe as Dr. William Bell.

I saw that on the news a couple of hours ago. He will certainly be missed.

Spock was, and still is, my favorite Star Trek character. I grew up watching ST!

I also add my condolences to the family of Leanord Nimoy and his many fans. My most unusual memory of Mr. Nimoy was seeing him as a martin invader in a Republic movie serial "Zombies from the Stratosphere" on TV. With his long and accomplished career as a stage, screen and TV actor, director, author and recording artist it can certainly be said that he did "Live long and prosper"

He had an amazing legacy with Star Trek and all his other contributions, especially his talent for poetry and photography. He was such an icon that it seemed like he had been around forever; I actually thought he was older than 83. RIP Mr. Nimoy.

Grew up watching Star Trek with my mom, making me a second generation Trekie. DD is 3rd generation. Mom passed away many years ago but I kept up the tradition with DD and we have seen every tv show and movie. Mr Nimoy was a big part of that and we are saddened at his passing. Star Trek will go on but it won't be the same without him.

I had a chance to speak to him once.

As we spoke I felt the line between fact and fantasy/character and actor become blurred. Mr. Nimoy and I had the briefest of conversations but in that moment Mr. Spock was also there - and one of my childhood dreams became a reality.

    RIP
