    Default Curious question about DVC

So I know alot of us on Intercot own DVC. Just curious where everyone owns and how many points for each contract. Also, do you feel you have enough points or
would you like to purchase more.

Initial purchase was 220 points at BLT.
Purchased 100 points resale at BLT, and just recently purchased an additional
25 points resale at BLT in my daughter and son in laws name.

I think we're good on the number of points we own now, may have to add more if grandkids come into the picture.

    Default Dvc

We originally bought 200 points at AK
added 100 for Poly on the cruise we just took

wouldn't mind having more, but that's all we can afford for now! I usually end up borrowing!

100 points at the Grand Californian, through Disney. Sadly selling I will probably buy again later down the road.

    Smile DVC Points

Bought first points from Disney when they were still reasonable (under $60). We have 275 points at OKW. We then added another 160 at BLT when it first opened. We go every year for 10-14 days and always stay at either a one or two bedroom (depending on whether family joins us). We find that our points are quite sufficient for the way we visit.

220 points at OKW and 100 at HHI. Recently we've been thinking of getting more at OKW.

I bought 150 points at Saratoga Springs through the Timeshare Store, in just my name. In 2011, we purchased a 98 point contract at OKW in my name as well as my sister and Mom are on this contract, also through the Timeshare Store. Both contracts were really good deals. I transfer my points into the second contract so that we can use them all together. If DVC ever decided to make transferring between contracts difficult, we would then look to adding my sister to the original contract.

We have the right amount of points for us to do our yearly trip and stay in the size of accommodations we prefer (2 bedroom).

We have 170 points at BC. We bank every other year and use 340 points for three to four trips with an AP. In between "Disney years", we vacation elsewhere for a couple of weeks and then take another week for a mission trip or a camp. We are looking to add 60 - 80 points resale now that our kids are grown in anticipation of grandkids.

I don't know the exact distribution right offhand, but we have a total of 500 points spread across Saratoga Springs, Kidani and Grand Californian. We'd eventually like to pick up some Vero points, but no rush on that.

Is it even possibly to have "too much"? Besides this isn't even enough for a week in a bungalow at Christmas.

We bought 300 at OKW back in 92 when it was the only option. Added on 60 points the next year. Bought a resale through the Timeshare store at OKW a couple of years later for 190. These last couple of years I am renting points out as we don't use all of them ourselves anymore.

We have 1060 spread over OKW, Vero and Hilton Head. We bought 1/3 direct the rest resale after I figured that out.

We bought our original contract from Disney - 150 pts. at OKW in 2000, then a few years later we added 150 more resale, and a few years ago we added 150 at BWVs resale. We have a total of 450 pts. and I think we're done!

We have 150 SSR points, direct through Disney. Will probably buy some more once we get the kids through college.

We have 432 at VWL. Bought original contracts direct in 2006 and then found 150 points resale in 2012 when sales were down and paid $53/pt which brought our price point down to a level that we could walk away today with all our money and a lot of great memories.

    Default My experience

We purchased 220 SSR from Disney first. Then added 50 on AKV from The Timeshare Store. I really liked how the Timeshare Store came together for us.

I want 100 more. But that's not going to happen this year. Like others, I'm always borrowing from next year.

We end up doing a studio stay in January for Marathon weekend - just me and DH. Then we have a family vacation that includes the parks (and sometimes Vero). This year, we plan to go to Disneyland in October.
