Toddler Dining
Hi friends. Been to WDW a million times, but this summer will be the first time we bring my little nugget! He will be about 14 months old and possibly his cousin (2.5 years old) will be coming too. I searched the dining forum for toddler to see what people thought were the best/ funnest restaurants for children around this age and a lot of the stuff was from a couple years ago.
Just didnt know if anyone had an updated ideas or suggestions. Were going for a little over a week ( group of 7-10 people) but we also wont do a sit down meal every day, so cosmic rays is definitely on the list already. Just throwing ideas around and didnt know what people thought.
Thank you!

We've taken each of our kids for their first birthday and then for subsequent birthdays, so they've been almost yearly since birth. My advice would be to not plan a bunch of character meals until you see how your little one will react around the characters. My kids have been in awe of the characters at their first birthday trips, and then scared silly by them when they were two, then back to loving them by three. I've had to cancel character meals due to it, because who wants to torture their kids by having "scary things" visit them while they eat?
Other than that, my young ones like places where the menu is friendly to their tastes, which is different for every kid. Cosmic Rays is a favorite due to all the choices. Prime Time Café is another, because it's "home cooking," which they're used to. My kids have all enjoyed the fish and chips in Epcot (Yorkshire). And the fruit platter at Flame Tree BBQ in AK is a crowd pleaser, too.

My son was 18 months and did well at Hollywood & Vine, Kona Cafe, and rainforest cafe. He actually slept right through Cosmic Rays! Have a great time. We loved that trip so much. Now we're planning a trip right now with our new little guy(who will be 2), our older son(who will be 4.5yrs), and our niece(who will be 2.5yrs).

We took a trip this summer with our just over 2 year old. He LOVED Biergarten (he has fairly adventurous tastes, so he enjoyed the food) for the music and being able to get up and dance. He also really loved Chef Mickey's and Tusker House, but he was a fan of the characters. If he hadn't been, I imagine those would have been off our list fairly quickly. He enjoyed Cosmic Ray's. And loved eating at Coral Reef to watch the "FISHIES! TURTLE! SHARK!"

You must do at least one character meal with kids that age. I vote for Chef Mickey's breakfast or Crystal Palace, lots of character interaction.

No, Soarin is in the Land. The Nemo ride is in the Living Seas.
