Just a quick note on my first MVMCP and Christmas in WDW trip.
The party at MK was great! We had FPs to see Jingle Cruise early in the day and it was really cute. Wished some other rides had overlays like this (IASW and CBJ?). Since we spent the entire day there, we were able to check-in right at 4pm to grab our party swag which we had no trouble finding. (I had hoped this would be the case since it was so early in the season). Hit all the cookie/treat stops and the offerings were really good with the exception of the sno-cones. (WHY?) We queued up early for M&G with seven dwarves and my DCP DS got in line early for Jack and was able to meet up with us before our picture.
The castle show was very cute and well done. They effectively used projection mapping and other effects to make it interesting. The fireworks were another story, however, since they have now set the standard with Happily Ever After of elaborate castle projections adding to the show. In this case, Holiday Wishes had very basic projections (snow flakes, snow, outlined toy soldiers) that were a kind of letdown. The parade was really great, and I recommend seeing the one after the fireworks since it was much less crowded.
We took a ton of pictures and had a great time at the party!

Our second day was at DHS and we had a lot of fun at night with the Christmas offerings.
The Sunset Blvd. display was really cute and well done. The projection mapping on TOT, use of billboards, and the overall décor was lots of fun. The show runs continually, replaying the 4 different scenes throughout the night, so it was rather easy to watch (or rewatch) those that we liked or missed.
The tree and decorations around Gertie were beautiful! We took a ton of pictures around the lake area.
I was pleasantly surprised with Jingle BAM! I had heard mixed reviews about this show and I'm not sure if its different from last years offering, but I really enjoyed it (even more than Holiday Wishes). The projection scenes, fireworks and lasers played/mixed well and I had no trouble following the story line even though I had never seen Prep and Landing.
All in all we had a second terrific Christmas night!
