Medic Alert services
My mom is now 85, but still living on her own and independent. But, while she hasn't fallen, she does feel like her balance isn't what it used to be and she's very worried about falling. So we're looking into getting her one of the medic alert systems. There are two that are on the local senior center resources list - the big, national one, and one run by the local ambulance company. I'm wondering if anyone has looked into this for themselves or a loved one and what you chose. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I'm only in my 60's. At one point I was always in the hospital and thought about getting something like that. Luckily my medical issues have resolved and I'm not living alone anymore. I will probably get one later on in life. Like feeling safe.

So glad you're doing better, and so sorry you went through that. My aunt has a service like this and it's saved her life more than once. We're also going to have the local fire department install a lock box.
