Default Arrive day before cruise where do you stay

My husband and I our.taking our first cruise together. The ship goes out of Port Canaveral. Have any of you arrived in Orlando the day before the cruise? Where do you stay and how do you get to the port the next day?

I believe that if you stay at a Disney World hotel, they will transfer you to the port.
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

There are lots of options and ideas on this one. I know some people stay at the airport, so they can easily catch the Disney Cruise transport easily the next moring.

Some people (like us) head right out to the coast (we visited Kennedy Space Center), stayed at a hotel nearby and made our own way to the port and others stay at Disney, visiting a park or Disney Springs and then taking Disney transport to the port.

We just did this (though on another cruise line)! We landed Friday in Orlando and rented a car one way from MCO and return in Coco Beach. We had lunch and did some shopping in Disney Springs and then drove to Coco Beach. We stayed at the Four Points Sheraton literally on top of the Ron Jon surf shop. Excellent location! A block from the beach, near good food - I recommend Pancetta Pizza Bar - and a super short drive to the car rental. The next morning our rental company provides a shuttle to the cruise terminal for free (tip the driver a buck or two).

With the state of air travel the way it is right now, I can't advise ANYONE to fly in the day of their cruise or travel without trip insurance.

    Have a fantastic trip!

We stay at the Hyatt in the airport. You can book DCL transportation and indicate you want to be be picked up at that hotel. They offer in-room luggage pick up and transfer it to the port for you. You will check in for your transport from the hotel lobby and be some of the first folks to arrive at thr port.
