Ok, gotta a little story to tell that some of ya may have heard already...
In November I bought an Ibanez Montage (the Swiss Army Knife of the Guitar World!) and had issues with the red model they had got for me... so after several back and forth trips to Houston, I finally traded the red one in for the Koa Wood, a limited edition (1500 were produced worldwide.) It was used at our show at the CLSH Picnic and for tracks I've been putting down for the continuation of our CD.

Next pic is of the Koa Wood Ukelele I purchased while over in Hawaii (Oahu.) I took a 30 minute class at the Polynesian Cultural Center and have a book so I've been picking up a few new chords here and there and can play about 5 songs comfortably so far.

Lastly, my wonderful wife tried to surprise me for Christmas by going to our local music store and ordering a case that she then sent to someone she had met while facilitating a class in Houston who does custom painting on motorcycle tanks and such...

She provided ideas and input and they emailed pictures back and forth... believe it or not, the little Mickey head's on the scale thingy coming from the world if played out supposedly play "it's a small world!"
The only problem with this beautiful case was that none of my 8 guitars would fit it!!!!! My wife was so angry... her solution was for me to find an inexpensive guitar that would fit it - so it was off to the Guitar Center in Houston where I tried several models (it's built for Fender's but I'm not a Strat or Tele fan) so I finally found that the Ibanez RG series would fit (I LOVE Ibanez if you don't know by now!) We special ordered the RG350DX which is the only guitar I've ever owned that has the Floyd Rose locking tremolo system...

So, other than the actual trip to Oahu and the tattoo, this was my haul for Christmas!!!!
