I got a new car today. I had a 2010 Nissan Sentra with less than 24,000 miles that I bought at a really high interest rate (I was really dumb in college and buried myself in CC debt that I have spent the last number of years trying to repair). It was in for an oil change (had a free dealer one) almost a month ago, and the shop manager told the sales person I got it from that they should try to get me to trade it in because they needed used cars and mine was the cleanest he had seen. Went in today and got a 2012 Sentra for about $75 less per month, with the same loan terms (months) but with a 11% less interest rate! I also got them to throw in a remote start and some other goodies. The finance manager told me she could tell that I had been working hard to repair my credit report and that I should be proud. It was such a great feeling!
