I went to see the pre-Broadway showing of The Little Mermaid last night. I absolutely loved it! I thought the cast was great and it was always my favorite Disney movie as a kid so it was wonderful to see it on the stage.

This was the second Disney musical I've seen. I saw The Lion King also while it was in Denver. I actually liked The Little Mermaid better!

I was surprised to hear that Tarzan is closing. This is one that I definitely would have liked to have seen. Too bad I didn't make it to NY while it was playing.

I was wondering what Disney musicals y'all have seen and how you rank them.

Well, "Tarzan" is still going on strong in Amsterdam because they are doing it in the round, which suited the staging they wanted.

But I still have yet to see one onstage! Or be in one, for that matter. I haven't had any theater companies near me put on "Beauty and the Beast"...even though I would like to see the German version. It looks like they want to look a little different than all the other versions...
