    Default Photo Pass?

Someone told me that you can pre-purchase a card that will allow you to have all of the pictures taken by the park photographers. I thought it was Photo Pass. Does anyone know anything about this?
    Thanks for any help.

Photopass is free but they may be talking about pre-purchasing the CD. I think you get a discount if you pre-purchase and the disk hold roughly 300 photos. Do you think that's it?

The photo pass itself is free, the first time you encounter a photographer they give you one, and then you just use the same card for each time you get another picture.

What you are prepurchasing is the purchase of the cd that holds all of you pictures that you can buy. If you dont prepay, and purchase it after the trip I believe it is $125, but if you prepurchase it, it costs $99, so there is a pretty good savings.

It is a pretty good savings over buying individual pictures, which cost aropund $12 for just a 5X7

    Default Yes, pre-purchase

Yes, the pre-purchase cd is what I am looking for. How do you do that?

I'm not sure that I'm allowed to post the link, but if you Google "Disney's photopass CD pre-arrival offer", you should find the link that takes you to the coupon offer. It's really easy, you pre-pay for the CD ($99 plus shipping, and you have the option to upgrade your shipping later), and they email you a code to enter when you upload your photopass card.

If you don't like your photopass pics, or for another reason decide not to get the CD, they offer a refund. BUT, you cannot get the refund once you enter the coupon code.

I did this for our trip. I pre-ordered the CD about a month before we left (you don't have to do it so far in advance; I'm anxious), and then when I got home, I entered my photopass card # and the pics came up. I did all of my editing (cropping, adding borders and signatures), and then clicked to purchase the CD. In the coupon section I entered my code, and was done!

AND, I was hesitant on the shipping, I ALMOST upgraded to the fast shipping (2-5 days or whatever, I think it would have cost $12 extra). I'm so glad I didn't: I ordered my CD on Sunday and had it in my possession by Thursday!

If you're considering using the Photopass system at all, I would recommend pre-purchasing the CD. With their refund offer, you really have nothing to lose!

I'm seriously considering purchasing the CD. My only concern is .....can I take the CD to the local Wal-Mart and print my "cropped, bordered, etc " pictures....or do they hassle you??

Tinksmom02....how did that work for you?? THANKS!

yes you can take it to your local developing store and get them developed. When you purchase the cd they include a copyright release.

I just pre-ordered mine this morning - we leave next week. I did read that there is no limit to the amount of pictures you can have. I purchased the CD at WDW last year for $99 but couldn't add the borders and year without standing there forever so this option works best for me.

I had pre-ordered the CD before the trip and we just returned, we had about 76 photos when we logged into our Photopass account. Now we can add borders and crop if we need to. So it is well worth it. We didn't realize we had stopped so many times for photos, but they are nice to have.

The nice thing is that you can order 4x6 photos at your local photo processor, as you only have a choice of 5x7 and 8x10s on the website.

    ENJOY!

We prepaid for the CD. Our daughter had put some of the captions and other things on some of the pictures and they came through on the CD. I do not remember it being that way last year. We wish we had done more now.
My biggest surprise was when we got off Test Track we inserted our photopass card in the machine and our Test Track photo became part of the CD and we didn't have to purchase the picture separately.

I use winkflash.com, and didn't have any problems at all. I uploaded the pics from the CD to their site, and then ordered them.

I didn't recieve a copy of the copyright release, though...

I searched around and found winkflash to be one of the cheaper places around ($.12/print, with flat $.99 shipping for 4x6s), and they ship super fast! less than a week, and usually 3-4 days.

Another poster mentioned the Test Track photo thing, that was a nice surprise! And there's a neat border that you can add to the picture, as well!
