Spending money
I leave for Disney in 15 days and am starting to plan a little further. About how much spending money should I bring with me? I am going for 8 days and haven't been since I was younger (16 years or so ago). Any ideas?

Well, who is going? Any kids? Just adults? Are you including food in your spending money or is that separate? There are so many variables. But food not included, we budgeted 100/day for dh, me, and 2 kids (for souvenirs, photos, what not) for the 12 days we went. It adds up quick. We could've easily gone over that, but made it a point to stick to that. Have fun!!!

Are you including food in this spending money amount?
If you are, I'd budget roughly $10-$15 per person per counter service meal; some are more expensive than others and some are less. For table service, I'd budget about $30 per person on the lower end and more if you are eating at a higher end place. You'll also want to budget for snacks and beverages throughout the day.
For souvenirs, it really depends on how much you want to spend on things to take home.

Then I'd say about about 50 bucks a day should be more than enough since you're not counting food. More if you plan on doing shows or extras, less if you're on a tighter budget and don't forsee yourself buying lots of souvenirs.

We usually budget about $100 for food and $100 for spending per day for our family of 3, so $200 total per day. It usually works out perfectly at that rate. We've done that for a long time so we're probably spending less than we used to according to inflation!

Anywhere between 50 and 100 per day for spending money is good. If you have not been in a while you just may find a ton of "stuff" that you "must have". Also keep in mind items such as shirts are around 25.00 each.

1) I am assuming "spending money" doesn't include room or tickets.
2) We take 16-19 extended family members every year.
3) This is how we allocate cash
. . . $35/adult, $20/child for meals
. . . $50/adult, $30/child for souvenirs
NOTE: If the group didn't go every year, I could easily see a larger souvenir budget. Or at least a preferred higher budget. But, the above budget has proven to be just right - and people usually have bucks left over at the end of the week for even more souvenirs.
