Internet access?

I have a question about internet access at the resorts. I am taking an on line course and I had hoped to take a week off from course work during our upcoming February trip, but that isn't looking like a possibility We are staying at POFQ. Is internet access available? Is there wireless access available anywhere at the resort or elsewhere in the world? I appreciate any and all information and tips. Thanks!

The business centers have internet access. You can get internet access in your room with a daily charge. There is some wifi availability in resorts like Coronado Springs which cater to business folks.

We will be staying at POFQ too. You can get internet access in your room for $9.95 per 24 hour period.

Can anyone comment on the internet service available? Is it slow? I've only used my laptop with wireless. Do I need to bring some sort of cable, or do they provide it? Do I need to alter any of my settings to utilize it? I'm hoping for quick, easy, and idiot-proof. Thanks!

I know the Contemporary has a business center. I believe Coronado Springs does as well.

There will be a cable in your room. It's usually hanging in a bag in the closet (amongst the coat hangers). WiFi is available in the lobby area of some resorts (the ones that have attached convention centers). However, even this isn't free.

If you've got a fairly recent laptop, the connection is pretty much plug in and go. Once the cable is connected, you need to open your web browser and accept the terms of use and $9.95 fee.

If you want the convenience of using your laptop with wireless, you can pack your own wireless router. Plug it into the provided hi-speed internet access, then connect into it with your laptop. (This won't be quite as plug and play.) Make sure you have your wireless router set up with a secure SSID so that others in the hotel aren't connecting to it.
