Default What is your favorite counter service at DS?

Just realized we have never done counter service at DS. Since my girls like the dance party at the EMH, we usually do 1/2 days at DS(once for the dance party and then one morning when it is not emh)......

    any suggestions appreciated.

Catalina Eddies...we stopped there on on last WDW vacation a couple of years ago and were pleasantly surprised. We were on the dining plan we each ordered a salad, personal pizza and dessert. My husband and I both agreed that we could have easily split a meal and both have been satisfied.

The salad was fresh and the lettuce was crispy; pizza was tasty and fresh; the dessert was fine (some apple pie/cobbler thing).

We popped right over and saw the Beauty and the Beast show; so it was a perfect lunch all around.

We like the Pizza Planet themed restaurant over by the Muppet Theatre. It's a lot of food, and the pizzas were surprisingly good.

Backlot Express is our usual stop if we are there during lunch. The new menu offers a lot more than your usual burgers.

We usually do Backlot also but I must say DS is my least favorite park to eat at, especially CS. We have also eaten a Catalina's and it was OK but it is outside which can be hot depending on when your trip is.

I have to second this. This year, we're skipping meals there altogether. We're going to do snacks, but enjoy our meals at our resort.

I have to second Polynesian Dweller's opinion of Backlot Express. They have some very good grilled sandwiches as well as the usual burgers/chicken.

Disney's Hollywood Studios has the worst counter service of any park. Backlot Express is decent. Everything else is awful.
