Segway Tour in FtW

Anyone try the Segway tour in Fort Wilderness? I saw it on another WDW related website and decided it would be a fantastic Christmas gift for my son and wife.

I was so lucky to book it for Christmas Day!! I am too "Santa-like" and exceed the capacity so I will have to watch from the sidelines and take pictures.

Just wanted some feedback from anyone who has tried a Segway and in particular the tour. Are they really that easy to get the hang of?

I have not done the FW tour, but we did do the one in Epcot. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip last December. Yes, they are easy to get the hang of. They will be crusing around in no time. We plan on doing the FW tour on our next trip, so report back how it goes.

It's been really popular! I've seen them many times come through WL. I've yet to try it, but we've (CMs) heard only great things about it.

Yes, did it back in Mar. 08. It was alot of fun. You get to see the old parts of River Country. You get to go to the edge of the water for a nice view of the Contemporary Resort and MK. It was fun being on the bigger Segways with that have the big chunky tires. It was worth the money.

My wife and I did it this past spring. Had a great time. Cover lots of ground. Over to Wilderness Lodge back to Fort Wilderness on the trail. Thru areas of Fort Wilderness and the Horse Barns.
The cast member are entertaining and had as much fun as we all did.
