Characters at Animal Kingdom
During Extra Evening Hours at Animal Kingdom how long do all the characters stay out for meet and greets? Are they out the whole time or do they go to bed at a certain time? Thanks.
P.S. I am talking about in February when it might still be getting dark earlier.

They are out at night, usually in just the Camp area though I'm not 100% positive since I never work DAK EMH. I tend to avoid my DAK shifts....giving them away for my beloved MK, or even Epcot.
-
Camp Minnie Mickey is actually closed during EMH and the characters are spread around. Mickey and Minnie in front of Mercantile, Lilo and Stitch near the boat dock entrance, some others out in Oasis or near the ticket booths etc. But they do stay out the entire EMH, just not in their regular locations.
I ran away from college and joined the Mickey Mouse Club!

Do characters appear at other parks during EMH evenings? What characters/ locations are usually open at MK?
-
For MK, it's all at Fantasyland. Donald and Chip and Dale are near the Dumbo ride, Goofy is by the Caroseul, Mickey and Minnie are next to Sir Mickey's and Pluto is by Cinderella's Fountain.
-
At HS, they have the Playhouse Disney Dance Party. Through the years we have met Rolie Polie, Zowy, Little Einsteins, Jojo and Goliath, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. I beleive that Rolie Polie and Zowy are the only one no longer there. In EPCOT, in Feb 2008 the character connection was opened during the magic hours at night.
Please go to my profile to get the link for my Character Photo Album with pix of 200 different characters that we've met through the years!

I agree! MK EMH is fun.
I hope to never have to do AK EMH again though. I think I've done it enough for a lifetime.

What's so bad about working the Animal Kingdom EMHs?
-
I don't like AK cause of the smell.....and the walking.

Bad experiences. For some reason, people never want to listen to me there.

I think I've been lucky to not have any bad experiences with Guests there...but I don't like the park experience.
Although...can I just say...I could sit outside of the Camp trailer and watch the Tumble Monkeys and the Fire Dancer practicing in between FOTLK shows? It's really.....fun.

I don't like working at AK in general just because I'm not a fan of the managment team there. It creates a totally different vibe, otherwise AK would be awesome, it's pretty rare you can get a 9-5 schedule in Disney entertainment but it's almost guarenteed at DAK.

LOL, I still don't get the 9-5 shifts cause we are open later now due to the holidays.
