    Default May Western Carribean Cruise

My mom, 8 year old daughter, and I are going on a "Girls Only" Western Carribean Cruise in May. When can I book shore excursions and how do I go about doing that? Am I way behind? What other reservations (we already have our actual cruise reservations) should I be making?

Depending on whether you're a Castaway Clubmember and what category cabin you are in, you can generally make your excursion reservations about 90 days out (I think you get 120 days if you've got one of the top category rooms). Check for sure when you can make your reservations and do so on the very first day you can... far too many great excursions book up, as well as dinner @ Palo's and massages... things you're probably going to want to take advantage of.
    Enjoy!

If your reservation is for one of the categories that includes Concierge service, you can book 105 days before your departure date. If not, but you're a member of the Castaway Club (automatic if you've sailed on DCL previously), you can start booking excursions 90 days out. If you're a "newbie", you can book them at 75 days. So, you've got plenty of time before your May cruise.

If you and your mom want to treat yourselves to a wonderful dinner experience, consider booking a meal at Palo. However, this is an "adults only" experience; no one under 18 is allowed. Perhaps you can arrange for your daughter to be in one of the many "kids only" activitiess while you and mom pamper yourselves.

Reservations for excursions and onboard activities can be made online (following the above date guidelines) or by calling DCL.

If you're concerned about your DD eating dinner alone (as I was re: my DS), you could always book the Palo brunch and/or afternoon tea, and enjoy the experience while she's at the kids' club.

I also booked some spa time, timing it for when he would be occupied in the club.

Also, you can only make reservations if you're paid in full.

    Default Here comes the bride...

We'll be on the May 23rd DCL to Tortola, etc. I am paid in full but have never sailed DCL before. However, we are setting up a second wedding ceremony during this trip with our girls being "Princesses Maids of Honor" so we're going to be booking ASAP.

Are you doing Tortola too? A Girls trip sounds wonderful!!!!
