I have been to the world many times with my mom. She is a great disney partner, but this time I decided to share my happy place with my boyfriend. I went from april 29th until yesterday. We stayed at POP and we did the basic dining plan. The weather was perfect for the whole trip. It got a little hot towards the middle of our trip but I didn't mind.
Since we were there for a whole week I won't bore everyone with all the details but I will highlite some memorable moments for you all.
Our waitress at the 50's Prime time cafe accidently dropped some dishes right next to me and splashed some liquid on me. I'm a pretty laid back person am a waitress myself so I didn't find it to be a big deal. She was very apologetic and she asked how wet I was. I responded that it was not that bad. She responded by saying, "so you don't want a mickey shirt?". I just laughed. Then the manager came over and asked what size shirt I wanted. I was a little surprised. Then sure enough he came back and handed me a shirt. The next day I found the same shirt in a giftshop for $28.
I scoped out the perfect spot for wishes one night on the bridge coming out of tomorrowland closest to the castle. Then when wishes started I couldn't hear the narration of the sound of the rushing water behind us. We were too far away from the speakers to hear anything. Then the fireworks started and we could not see them over the large trees. Then a looked over and saw a man next to us down on one knee proposing to his girlfriend. So I couldn't hear wishes, I couldn't see wishes and someone else got a ring. LOL!
My boyfriend is a bit clumsy. He always seems to get hurt or have some kind of crisis. Well we were in animal kingdom and we stopped at a smoking section after coming off of the safari. I stayed in the shade by the bar right before that little bridge that leads to the front of the park. Well my boyfriend was smoking and he leaned over the edge to look at the water below and his glasses that were folded and hanging off his necklace fell. They fell into the dark murky water. I couldn't believe it. Only he could have done something like this. Long story short after an hour and several helpful members of guest services and one maintance boat we left the park without his glasses.
We had a very awesome and memorable trip. I can't wait to go back. Maybe next time I will get my ring. lol
