    Default DVC Discounts?

My family is planning on staying at OKW with my sister 10/22 to 10/26. She is using her points for Thursday and Sunday night and we are paying cash for Friday and Saturday (2 bedroom split with brother = $550). The tickets and dining on top of this would be $1596 for my 2 adults and 2 kids for 4 nights (Total = $2146).

As well as I can figure, it would be a little cheaper for us to get a Magic Your Way package with free dining at an AS resort and just not use the room ($1563 package + $550 for OKW room = $2134). I know it is almost negligible, but if I can find cheap transfer points instead of paying the $550 it might save some money. Does the DVC ever offer dining/ticket discounts or are you always stuck paying the full amount if you're staying at a DVC? TIA!

You pay the full amount for dining, AP's are discounted for DVC members, a little over $100 each if I recall correctly.

Does your sister have an Annual Pass? If so she can then get the "Tables in Wonderland" card which gives you 20% off most TS restaurants. The discount is good for everyone at the table as long as the person who owns the card pays. This discount also covers alcohol!
