Dinner on our last night
Any suggestions?
Its my DH & I and DS 5 and DD 2.
We are already going to ADR's on other days for Trex cafe, Crystal palace and the restaurant at the Beach Club.
Any suggestions? We want to have a memorable dinner on our last night. Even if it's not a TS and a picnic or creative ideas welcome too!!!
THANKS!

I think a lot of it depends on what park you think you might be at that day. I normally choose an ADR that is convienent to get to from any place, like one on the monorail line. Check Mickey's is really fun for the kids, even though the food is only average. The Cali Grill is top notch. You could time your ADR for when the fireworks go off. That would be really special. Ohana's at the Poly is another good idea.

Unfortunately I did try Ohana but they were booked solid!!
Though that's the only one i've thought of so far.
Is California grill expensive?

California Grill is on the more expensive end, and unless your children are very well behaved, I'd consider skipping it as it is more of an adult restaurant.
Also, have you tried Hoop-De-Doo? Quite fun, in the MK area, but chances might be slim that you can get a reservation. You can always try though!
Next trip: DL Oct '09 with my mom, sister, and best friend!!

What about Yak & Yeti? Food looks yummy.
Are they open PAST the time the park closes as i know AK closes early.
They have a reservation for the day we need at 4:15pm
Any opinions on that?

AK usually closes around 8 or 9, they don't accept reservations past the park closing, but if you are still eating around the time the park closes, they won't kick you out.

Don't know where you'll be on your last day, but I would reccommend Whispering Canyon at WL . . . definitely a memorable meal experience! Or if you are going to be at AK (hence the Yak and Yeti question), perhaps jump over to AKL and eat at Boma :yum: . . . spend some extra time there checking out the resort.

What about a character meal for the kids. It would be a nice way to say goodbye to WDW. Keep trying with 'Ohana, you may get lucky. Some other restaurants we like are:
- 1900 Park Fare
- Whispering Canyon
- Yachtsman Steakhouse
- Tutto Italia
Have fun whatever you choose.

I agree that a character meal would be fun for the kids.
Our favourites are:
1900 Park Fare
Garden Grille
Crystal Palace
Enjoy your trip

If I wanted to eat an lunch/dinner at park and the only ADR's they have are DURING a parade time, will this cause problems?
How will i get to my reservation if the parade will be going right BY the restaurant and it will likely be wall to wall people?
Anyone done this?
Thanks for the suggestions...it's helping me narrow it down

Just make sure you are on the right side of the parade route prior to the parade start.
For example, if you are having lunch at Crystal Palace just make sure you are visiting the attractions in Adventureland prior to the parade start. That way you can just walk right over to the restaurant without a problem. i wouldn't plan on being in Tomorrowland right before you plan to head to lunch, in the middle of the parade. That way good luck getting across! LOL!

Crystal Palace is a good way to go, their dinner buffet is pretty darned good (esp the ancho chile rubbed salmon), as is the character interaction -- especially with your age group of 5 and 2! It is a really pretty setting as well, and the kids can do a conga line with the hundred acre woods gang.
The only life I can think of that would be worse than being a special needs mom is not being one...
