I recommend you definitely get the Lunch/Dinner pkg for Candlelight. It is a fantastic concert/show. We did the general admin line one year and waited 2.5 hours. BArely got in. Last year we did the dining and it was fantastic. After you pay the bill at dinner, they give you a sticker to wear that gets you in. You have to specifically book the package. We waited 30 minutes that time and had a terrific seat! You can book 90 days out and that's coming up very quick!

Osborne lights is overwhelming and walk-through at your pace (mostly). We went years ago and got to stroll around at our own pace and it was great. So many lights but we got hot cocoa, cookies and the snow fell. It was relaxing. This past year we went after fantasmic and it was a nightmare. Too many people, SLOW, no cocoa (lines!) or cookies. You want to get over to the lights if you can find "off hours" because it can be crazy.

Have a great time. Surprises rock!

Has anyone stayed/tried to watch the filming of the x-mas day parade? Is it worth the effort?

The Osborne Lights are a must-do! We saw them for the first time during our last trip (Thanksgiving week 2007) and are really looking forward to them again this year.

We're also going to try MVMCP for the first time this trip! We can't wait.

    Have a wonderful trip!

p.s. You remind me of my DH - I think he may love WDW more than our DDs!!

What an amazing surprise! I hope you gave her the biggest hug and kiss ever!!

It always amazes me when people tell stories like this because we have so little money that we could never plan a trip like this as a surprise. We have to scrimp and save for years to have enough to go that everyone knows what is going on.

    How wonderful!

If it helps at all, let your DD know that I once missed five days of my AP class in high school to go on a family vacation and still managed an A in the course and a 5 on the AP exam. She'll be fine! Everyone taking AP classes needs to relax and enjoy themselves sometimes!
