    Default The Infamous Disney"Teardrop" R.I.P.

Well with the revelation of the Fantasyland refurb it is final. The Teardrop is no more. Last week characters started meeting at a new area for this meet and greet.
They have moved to the Animal Kingdom!
From now on the new location is at the former home of the Pochauntus show.
We found Launchpad, (Pooh) Rabbit and many others waiting for us there last week. Sometimes as many as 12 characters at a time!
Sad to see the "Teardrop" go but there is a new character hot spot in town!

BTW Epcot's new "teardrop area" is near Canada, no longer near America.

Shout out to Hayden's Dad who we met last week! Great guy.
    Loads of trips since 1974...

Actually, I think they're still using American Adventure, from my understanding at least.

No, only when there is something preventing them from using Canada will they use America. Of course things change constantly.

We saw them in both AK and in Canada and the new sites are great. One you don't have to walk through smoking sections to get to the characters, and there is lots of room for people and characters both. Each one has had 7 - 10 characters each.

Great info! Can't wait to check these spots out in May. Beside the first time we stumbled upon the MK teardrop May 2006, we never had much luck there. My DD will be excited to hear that these new spots are available!

Thank you for the info. We were told the teardrop was no longer when we were on our honeymoon in August.

So what great characters did you see in these new areas? Thanks for sharing!

We saw characters in the teardrop in October. Once again sounds like a CM who was telling you things "to the best of their knowledge". This official shutdown was early January.

Really its the same old characters you would see at the teardrop. Launchpad and Yellow Rabbit would be your rarest finds.

...just stumbled on thss thread...sad to see the teardrop go...I had luck there just once and it was this past December. So I 'm glad I had some success just before it was shut down. My wife was mesmerized by the whole training process going on. I look forward to hunting down the new spot in AK. Thanks for the info.
