When are your kids out of school?

Mine: May 27. But that's a private school.
Many of the public schools go till June 4 or later

I wonder how much the bad weather and snow throughout much of the south will delay Summer vacation.

My kids were due to get out of school On June 11th but it has now been extended until June 18th. we have also turned a professional day into a half a day and we will have another one like that in May. we missed over 12 days here on the eastern shore of Md. it's winters like this that I wish I had been at the Florida house LOL.

June 11th here...most schools in Iowa are going until the 15th or so.

Here in south Louisiana we get out on May 21. Trip to Disney will begin on May 24. We started school really early on Aug 6th this year. Next year we don't start til Aug 16th and get out the last week of May.

June 1st or 2nd here in indiana. Cant imagine going until june 20 or so. We start school like August 7th or 8th.

I haven't looked at the calendar but it's normally about June 24th or 25th. DH is a teacher so he stays a week after that. So our summer really doesn't start until July. For that reason, we're planning our trip for the end of August. We're hoping the crowds are a little lower if some of the country has already gone back to school.

My kids get out June 22nd. They have 1 snow day. I can't wait...my first year w/ the summer off!!

Around June 16th here. I can't believe somebody had more snow days than us! We have only had 2 snow days this year.

We only have 1 snow make up day & it will be on a teacher workday. Our last day is June 10.

My DS's also go to a private school that was slated to have last day On May 28th but with 4 snow days now they aren't getting out until June 3rd. Our school days were extended a few years ago so we have some extra instructional hours built into their schedule so that gives them a little flexibility. We're leaving the morning of the 4th for WDW, school or no school!

Wow! I was feeling pretty sorry for myself cause they tacked on May 28 for us because of a snow day (who would have thought in Louisiana?!). I can't imagine going to school through half of June like some of you! Of course my hat's off to you already, cause I cannot imagine living where it's cold much of the time and putting up with the snow. I am done! Please hurry, summer!

We are already going through until June 23rd and know that it could be later. We often have storms cause further delays through March. Fingers crossed that we actually get out then. Because of last year's ice storm using up all the possible dates, this year's school calendar allows for snow days up until July 2nd ! So hope we don't have to use them . . .

DD's last day of school is May 12th. She goes to a home school consortium. They would have been done on the 5th but we had 2 snow days to make up (her classes are only on Tues & Wend). She has Iowa Testing on the 18th and 19th and as soon as she is done with her test we head to the airport! LOL (I hope she can concentrate on her test well enough for good test results!)
