waterparks photopass ?
I've heard that there are photopass photographers at the waterparks. Having never been to a Disney waterpark, I'm having trouble envisioning how photopass there works. Are they simply posed in photo spots, or are they on rides? If so, is it simply at the end of certain slides?
How / when do they get your pics on a card?
At Typhoon Lagoon, I read you can bring a camera to take pictures in the shark reef -- do they have a photopass person there? For that matter, do they take photos on the roller coaster one - crush n' gusher?
Are there enough photopass phots spots that you can just skip bringing a camera?

I only ran into a photopass photographer once when at a water park though we have not been to a water park for several years so am not sure how things are working now. Also, we don't tend to do many of the slides so likely there were more that we did not see. The photographer we came across was at the end of a family tube ride and was taking pictures of folks in the tube just before you exited. Because we were a party of two, we had been paired with two teenage boys and the photographer thought we were all one party and was asking us to huddle in closer so he could get all of us in the same photo! I believe they can give you a photo card right there or you can hand the photographer an existing card you have.

On our last visit to TL (2008), we saw several Photopass photographers. They were at the exits of most of the slides, and were also taking pictures in the wave pool (shallow area). I didn't bring our Photopass card, so they gave us one and to be honest, I ended up using that card the rest of the trip. It was a small card attached to a wristlet. That way, you just put it on your wrist and didn't have to worry about losing it on the slides or in the pool. We didn't go over to the shark reef, so I don't know if there were photographers there. My suggestion would be to take your camera so you have it just in case there aren't photographers where you want pictures.

When we were last at Blizzard Beach we had a ton of photopass pictures taken. As the previous poster stated they give you a card on a wristlet. it was easy to use and we got alot of fun pictures. We have some that were posed and some of us on the different slides. I thought it was a great idea as I do not tend to bring my camera to water parks.

The last time we were at WDW we went to TL and encountered a couple Photopass photographers at the end of the rides. As your getting out of the splash pool, they hand you a card on a wristlet, so you don't lose it. The only problem with it is that you get a wristlet everytime you get your picture taken and are stuck wearing them, unless you frequently visit your locker.

Just in case it is not clear. You can put multiple card numbers into your photopass CD set up when you go online . Your family might have several card as well as waterpark wrislet cards.

We've never actually bought a photopass photo from a waterpark.

When we were at Blizzard Beach last year, we had a great time with the Photopass photographers.
We got a number of great shots in the wave pool (they had DD and I do "silly" things that all made sense when we got the pictures. They also look pictures in the 'tween area, when DD was one the "zip line" and the iceburgs. Goofy also stopped by for some photos, so we used Photopass for that too!
We loved the small photopass on the wrist, much easier than the bigger cards.

we also have some great water park pictures. If you tell the CM that you prepurchased the CD the will take alot of pictures for you!! In the wave pool the CM took multiple pictures of each kid swimming around and goofing off and then took more of the whole family catching the waves. Some of my favorite pictures are from the water park CM's.

Yup - they'll give you a waterpark photopass if you ask. It is, as stated, on a wristband. Some of our best pix from our last trip were at Typhoon Lagoon. Enjoy!

We went to TL last summer. There were photopass photographers in several locations - as you enter and the wave pool comes into view so you can get a pic with it in the background, in a couple of spots along the lazy river, and Lilo was there so there was one with her. We got the wristlet mini card on a heavy duty rubber band.
