Regal Sun Resort questions

I am going on a cuise w/ my gf in December. On our return, we have decided to stay the night in the Regal Sun on Disney property. we have a window facing the fireworks.
I wanted to know if anyone has stayed here and how good the view is.
what were your thoughts on the Regal Sun? i s it a nice resort? what is it near?

We stayed there in June and it was a really nice place. We didn't have the fireworks view, so I can't tell you for sure how they were. BUT it is right next to the Marketplace at Downtown so the view should be great! We walked across the street to go to DTD which was really nice. There is a wonderful pool area as well.

Looks as if Katrina handled the location details very well, along with another positive review. The Regal Sun is much nicer with the fairly recent renovations in the tower rooms completed.

We did enjoy a room with the park side view you mentioned, and confirm that the fireworks can be seen very easily. We were lucky to have an upper level location(17th floor I think), and the sight lines were very good. Not sure how specific they might allow you to be at the time of your visit, but requesting an uppermost floor room should help get you the best view.
