I guess to avoid a even bigger scene, they whisked him away towards Imagination really quick and said that he should have left the duck alone because guests are not permitted in the pond. We tried to follow to "defend the hero man", but security told us no.
Wow. So Disney would rather you stand by and let the duckling die? Takes the magic away some, doesn't it? I hope the hero didn't get in too much trouble.

Two things.
First: I can't remember the exact year (possibly 2003), my mom & I found a wallet before we hit the bag check/security entrance of MK. The owner must have just lost it because everything, including his money, was in there. We didn't have bags, so we went to the "guests without bags" entrance & gave the wallet to Disney Security...who then proceeded to somehow make us feel "weird" for turning it in. I told the officer where we found it, explained that the money & everything else was still inside. The officer made a big deal about us turning it in, but not in a good way. Like, he couldn't BELIEVE someone was turning in a found wallet (including the money). And then he made a big deal of opening the wallet & seeing the money was there.
Second: possibly not weird but almost definitely crude: I felt like a snack, so I went to one of the carts in DHS. I wanted to at least feel like I was trying to eat something healthy, so I ordered a chocolate covered banana & I said, "I guess it counts as eating healthy, right?" The male CM working the cart (who I feel alluded to an inappopriate comment when he said this) said something along the lines of "I really want to say something, but it's probably more suited for Universal Studios," and then laughed this creepy laugh. I'm normally not a pearl-clutcher, but I was stunned. I was so stunned I didn't think to report it.
Michael Bluth: I need access to these files that are apparently for British eyes only.
Rita: Well, lucky for you, my whole face is British.

I rode on the Rock n' Roller Coaster with Drew Carey, car right behind him and the next year we were down we saw Wayne Brady. How weird to run into 2 celebrities from "Whose line is it anyway" at Disney.

Weirdest thing was two years ago when two young girls from Japan followed my wife and I around EPCOT taking photos and video because they thought I was Nikki Sixx from Motley Crüe.
No matter how many times I told them I wasn't they wouldn't listen.

That is quite scary!!!!

We told the driver that we were going to the Wilderness Lodge, and he said he would take us. We got on and we noticed a young family in the back (A few young adults and a couple of babies) and we moved to the back with them because the driver was acting strange. They were complaining about how the driver promised to take them to their resort immediately, and that was 30 minutes ago. We finally took off and the driver was FLYING! I've never been on a Disney bus that was going that fast. And he took turns at an extremely fast rate which really scared us. He was going over the lines and just kept driving and driving all over Disney. 10-15 minutes later, we made it to the WL. We didn't want to leave the young family with that guy, but we didn't know what else to do. The young woman went up to the front of the bus and the driver just took off while she's standing next to him! She was yelling at him and he acted like he didn't even see or hear her. We don't know what happened to them after that. We started walking across that long wooden bridge (At the Villas) at nearly midnight when we heard a man following us. He just came literally out of nowhere. He started walking really fast like he was trying to catch up with us, so my mom and I decided to make a run for it. We had blisters and we were sore and tired, but we just wanted to get to our room, so we ran the whole way. The guy never came inside the building. That was definitely our weirdest trip ever!

We were on the monorail during a large thunder storm. The power went out and we were stuck on the track for about 30 minutes. Once the power came back on, they took us to the contemporary and they shut down the monorail for the rest of the night. We had dinner reservations at the poly and it was mass confusion trying to get a bus there. Hundreds of people were confused on what to do and were to go. It took us about 1 1/2 hours to get to poly. We could have walked there in less time, but it was raining very hard. We were surprised that DW was so unorganized in this situation.

We stayed at SSR in November 2008 and we had a group of about 14 people and they totally messed up our tickets so we could not get into the park, we got that all straightened out then yet again the next day one member of the group ticket did not work so they gave us all free passes to Disney Quest. They messed those up too but in a good way, instead of expiring the week of our stay they expired the week of our stay... in 2080. I don't know what happened to the cards but it would be interesting to see if they still worked.

In 1998 we were staying at the Grand Floridian and my mother and I were walking around the lobby looking in the shops. We got in the elevator and when the door closed we hit the button for the 2nd floor but instead of stopping the elevator went up to the concierge floor. We got off the elevator and pretended we belonged up there. We looked around, pretended we were looking for my father and got back in the elevator.
Another time at the Contemporary I was sitting by the pool with my parents and I heard a guy sitting near us say to someone "What happened to you?" and the other person answered that he didn't know but when he woke up his face was paralyzed. I had Bell's palsy twice and both times it came on fast and I woke up noticing the symptoms. I whispered to my mother what I heard, she's a nurse, and we walked over to them. We explained that we had over heard the conversation and that he really needed to get to an ER to get checked out and my mother told him she was positive it was Bell's palsy. They thanked us and took off. Later that evening I was in one of the shops and someone tapped me on the shoulder. When I turned around it was the guy from the pool. He said he didn't want to bother me but he'd been keeping a look out for me. He had seen a doctor in the ER and my mother and I were right. He had started on medication and the doctor told him he was going to be fine.

That was scary. I don't think we have had any
thing that was so weird. All the replys were a
little scary.

It seemed as though Doug Flutie and his family were following us around MK. Every attraction we went to there they were. At one point my husband was in the men's room and there he was AGAIN and said "waht are you following me?" (joking of course) and Mr. Flutie replied I have noticed that too.

Weirdest thing for me was riding ToT with an elderly couple next to me. The way he looked, the husband had been a manual laborer for a good 50+ years. They didn't know the ride dropped. The death grip this guy put on my leg was insane. I could not pry him off and had bruises across my knee for the rest of the week.

I got a really good laugh out of this one!
Two things You told me: That You are strong, and You love me.

My boys were young - maybe 3 and 1 or 4 and 2 and we were waiting patiently for the current version of the electric light parade at MK.
A lady walked up to me and asked, "what did you drug your kids with?"
I said, "pardon?"
She said, "your kids are too quiet, you must have drugged them with something. I don't care how much the taxi costs, I am going to find a drug store and buy whatever it is tonight."
I said, "I made sure they had a good nap today. I haven't drugged them with anything."
She said, " You let your kids nap at Disney World? What a waste of time!" and walked away.
Yep - one of my most vivid (bad) memories of WDW and my sons are 13 and almost 11 now!

Something pretty sad:
Strangest thing I've seen at WDW was at Marrakesh this past April. My fiance and I were sitting and eating, when across the room we heard a commotion. A group of adults with special needs and their caregivers were dining across the room and one of the members of the party was having some difficulty and was yelling every few minutes. This was not odd to me because I have worked in various schools for several years now and was a special-education paraprofessional for a couple of those years. We minded our own business and continued eating.
It became difficult to mind our own business when one of the members of the group stood up and started attacking a caregiver who was maybe half his size. He was hitting her with a force I had never seen before. Before anyone could say anything, two big guys had him restrained and pinned to the floor. The "escorted" him out and moments the later, the restaurant resumed as if nothing had happened.

Scooter Stunts!!!
Here is my story....
The MK is a very friendly place to ride your scooter. Disney has supplied the sidewalks with plenty of curb cuts so anything wheeled from scooters to strollers can safely transition from sidewalk to street. Well one after noon after a parade in the flag circle in front of the train station, one adventuring park person decided that she don't need no stinking curb cut.
She backed up her (SUPPER FAST... Well not really) Disney rental scooter, aimed strait at the tallest part of the curb. With sure determination she gunned the motor and attempted to jump the curb to the street.
Well.... she hit the curb .... then promptly tipped over on her side and landed half on, half off the curb with the wheels still spinning .
She was not hurt and swore she did not see the drop off and that Disney should do a better job of warning people of the danger. LOL... if I had not seen her back up I would have though it an accident.
After posting this I reading trough the others and remembered one more... Its been many years now that I have had to use a scooter / electric chair to get around. Well the first year right after the parade broke up in a very large crowed I hear a person yell... hey MOM... its your plumber!. This kind of thing seems to happen to me were ever I go.
I am very lucky she ever became my DW. Looking for an address in the Bronx I finely broke down to ask directions from a NYPD PO. I pull up he looks at me and says "hey your (My Name)". LOL... She thought I was wanted. I did not recognize the officer at first. He was married to and old high school friend.

You couldn't do anything for that hooker. Hookers are already dead inside.
