The Splash Mountain ride at Walt Disney World shut down briefly Wednesday because of reports of a burning smell in the electrical room.
Reedy Creek Fire Department Deputy Chief Richard LePere said there was no smoke or fire when crews responded shortly after 11 a.m. He said the ride was closed for a little more than an hour as a precaution.
LePere said a blown transistor switch may have been the cause of the smell. Nobody was injured.
A Disney spokesman said the disruption was minimal.

Whew! Glad there was no damage. There's a slight chance I might be coming down in November and it would be a serious bummer if I couldn't take my traditional dozen or so trips down Splash Mountain.
Strange. Spalsh Mountain doesn't usually close unless I'm there.
