    Default Beaches and Cream?

On WDW online if you look under "Where to Eat" and choose Quick service, Beaches and Cream is listed. But if you look at the 2010 Dining Plan .pdf Beaches and Cream shows the Table service symbol. So which is it?

Beaches & Cream costs a table service credit on the dining plan. The place is smaller and cozier than most other restaurants on property, but it offers traditional service.

It also boasts the most wonderful ice cream desserts around!

Thanks for the clarification, DH has been wanting to go for ice cream, I think we'll just go some night after the parks close.

Probably the right approach. I enjoy Beaches & Cream for the decadent sundaes and desserts. You can have an enjoyable meal there in a pinch, but I wouldn't make it a priority.

The restaurant offers a take-out window if you just want cups and cones. You will need to sit at a table for sundaes.

    Enjoy!

It's listed under both categories because there is a Take Out window that serves ice cream cups, cones, sundaes, and milkshakes. You can get those things as Snack Credits on the DDP...

Inside seating is a TS credit, with full wait service.

This sounds like a great plan, but just wanted to mention if you are going to be eating there plan on a wait for a table inside. It's a small place and very popular. We stayed at Beach Club last year and wanted to try the Kitchen Sink. I think we waited an hour or so and we went late. I think we got there around 8:30 or 9:00.

Like someone mentioned they do have the take-out window for small items. I used this when I just wanted a scoop of ice cream and used one of my snacks. Staying at Beach Club I was tempted & went too many times

We went there once and loved it. After dinner we ordered ice cream and my two sons who were 3 and 1 at the time and I ordered the kitchen sink. My wife got her own Sunday and was mortified that I ordered the kitchen sink for us. Then came the time when they brought it out. All the lights went off and a spotlight shined on us as well as spinning colored lights above our table. People actually came up to us and took our picture as we attempted to eat it. We didn't come close to finishing it.
And... My wife refuses to go there with us again.

We got the Kitchen Sink on the dining plan in February BUT it counted as 4 desserts on our TS meal credit (we were a party of 6, 2 in our party got their own desserts, 4 of us went in on the Kitchen Sink). So if you are a smaller party it would be out of pocket. Not sure if that has changed since Feb, but that is how it worked for us....

ALSO please realize (original poster), that while Beaches and Cream IS a table service restaurant, you cannot make an ADR for this location. Strictly walk-up.

I love Beaches & Cream. One of the reasons I choose to stay at the Beach Club. There is nothing like coming back from the park at night and having a great ice cream social with the group.
