    Dyson hand dryers rock!

I think they are okay; they always seem to take several "squeegees" to really dry my hands.

We used to have an Oreck when we moved into our house almost 6 years ago. The carpet was bright red and original to the house (early 1970s). We had, at the time, two Pembroke Welsh Corgis, and they shed A LOT. By the end of the first week in the house, the red carpet looked like a fur coat. I tried and tried to vacuum that carpet with the Oreck and it did NOTHING. We went out and bought a Dyson and it cleaned up everything. The ugly carpet looked brand new.

I did eventually take up the carpet to reveal beautiful wood floors. The Dyson has a hard floor setting and does not scratch floors. I love it so much! And, the hose attachment for cleaning stairs is wonderful. It reaches all the way to my second floor without moving the vacuum cleaner!

We recently bought an Oreck. 100$ at Target. We named him Eric the Oreck.
I hope to replace the downstairs carpets with hard wood in the next few years, so until then I am using the easiest machine to haul!
I have a bad shoulder, so weight was a big factor. Oreck is very light, easy to push, and carry up and down the stairs.
I think it cleans well. I have 5 cats and a big dog, so as long as I don't have hair laying around, I am happy. I vacuum 2 or 3 times a week, and so far my shoulder isn't any worse than usual.

Dyson for me! We have mostly hard floors, but we have 4 cats so there is plenty of pet hair on the hard floors and on the rugs. We got a Dyson canister and I love it!!! We had a hand me down Kirby before and it was also great, but way more expensive than the Dyson.
