Just wondering what the normal tip for Mousekeeping is on a daily basis for 4 in a room. This will be our 1st time @ POR & we definatly want to keep our Mousekeeper happy

I think that's pretty much the norm.

No matter where DH and I stay, we leave $5 per day. If all four of us are in the room, we leave $5, if two of us are in the room, we leave $5. AND we clean up after ourselves (as in, we make the bed, take garbage out, etc.). Not quite sure how THAT started!
That being said, we are generally 25% tippers pretty much everywhere we go.
You most definately want to serve my DH and I!

"It's snowing still," said Eeyore gloomily.
"So it is."
"And freezing."
"Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little, "we haven't had an earthquake lately."

We always leave $4 a day. Thanks for reminding me to bring some extra $ in a few weeks for just that.

As in all things...the tip depends should depend upon the service. IF the service is exceptional the tip should be more...if simply adequate, the tip should be much less.
(I won't even touch the whole "non-tipping" position at WDW debate...though I have yet to see one of these threads that doesn't eventually go there...who knows, maybe this time it won't).

My DH and I always tip $2-3 a day regardless of hotel category... We have never had a mousekeeping issue and always have a great mousekeeping experience. I always like making my Mousekeeping tip envelopes and putting my cash in them before I pack them so all I have to do is pull out an envelope each day...

It's their job to keep you happy, not the other way around. And housekeeping is not a tipped position at WDW.
-
1) Unless we tear up the room, we do not tip.
2) Housekeepers are one of the higher paid CM's at WDW.
3) They can make more than $15.00/hr after base, incentive and room bonus.

We normally do daily @ $ 1 a day per person, however this past trip we forgot (don't know how) the first couple of days and figured we'd just drop her a big tip at the end. Well, she began to slack and increasingly got worse as the week went on, actually I think by the end of the trip she quit giving us coffee, cups, and soap...oh yeah, we received ZERO towel animals (previous years we couldn't have been happier with the mousekeepers)....anyway, next trip will be back to daily !!!!

$4-5/day at value or moderate (there are 3 of us). I've never stayed at a deluxe resort--but I would assume you'd pay a little more depending on the service received.
We pay each day--make decorated tip envelopes ahead of time and put in a tip each day. Fortunately, we have always received very good to excellent service.
As always, tipping is a personal choice. We choose to do it.

We usually leave $1 per person, per day. You don't always have the same Mousekeeper each day so I want to tip the one who's actually doing the work.

Just a thought based upon the title of the thread...for those who are committed mousekeeping tippers do you tip less at a moderate than a deluxe or more at a moderate than a value...and if so why? Seeing as how the basic work is the same at all three resort types and you likely expect the same level of cleanliness regardless of where you stay.

We were around a few times this last vacation when mousekeeping was close to or in our room. It's not always the same person day to day.
Daily tips are more fair
I tip the same regardless of the hotel.
