Oh no! I am tearing up just thinking about it! I never used to cry but these past few years...well, I cry over every little thing! Hopefully I can **** it up when I see the movie. It sounds amazing!

My DD9 and I saw it on opening day in 3D. We agree with everyone...we LOVED it! Mandy Moore is the voice of Rapunzel and she does a beautiful job with the vocals. The star of "Chuck" is the young man. Great Disney princess movie!! (much better than Princess & Frog). I noticed in the credits that the music was by Alan Menkin. No wonder it was so good!

We're going to WDW on 12/5 and my daughter is hoping to see a Rapunzel

Saw it yesterday and loved parts of it very much. The chameleon and the horse had me on the floor because Disney gave them so much personality.

Got really teary at one key scene towards the end (you'll know which one I mean)..... The emotion in the character's face was heartbreaking - Disney's genius again.

One minor complaint (sorry) - the focus for me seemed to center on the evil character, and there was a startling resemblance to scenes from The Little Mermaid.

Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore were absolutely perfect together. Who would have guessed "Chuck" could sing like that......
    Just Jill.......

I agree! I thought of Ursula more than once while watching the movie.

I thought it was great -- however the music was pretty forgettable -- and it was a weird mix scenes I felt like I have seen before - fun though.

The woman who did the voice of Mother Gothel was amazing. She is a Tony award winning actress. Her singing voice just blew me away. I went to see it on New years eve day with my DS8 and DH. We all loved it!

I finally saw it today! I went with my mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-uncle who has Downs. We all LOVED it! After reading this thread, I knew we would, but I'll admit that the first 20 minutes were a drag. I was bored and thought about what I would write on Intercot when I got home But then it suddenly grabbed my attention and we were all consumed. My whole family cried, but I managed to hold it together since I was so angry at the families around me.

Speaking of, I think this may have been the last Disney movie I see in theaters. Why do parents allow their children to jump up and down on their chairs during movies? And scream and cry? I was brought to my first movie when I was 9 months old, so I don't blame parents for bringing babies and toddlers to a kids movie. However, if they start crying, be courteous and take them out! Just because it's a Disney movie does NOT mean that the adults don't mind hearing your child scream the entire time.

Otherwise, I am really glad that we saw that on the big screen, because the lights were incredible! My adorable 88 year old great-grandma gasped when they were floating in the air, and my sweet uncle started crying. My mom later told me that she also started bawling, but I was too enthralled in the scene to even notice! We can't wait to buy it on DVD!

    Now for the spoilers:

My mom said she absolutely loved Rapunzel's hair before, and she was shocked when it was cut, but then she ended up loving it after just as much! I am glad that I didn't see any pictures or merchandise of the haircut before I saw the movie, but now that I have, I would love to get stuff with her before and after
What I loved was how she seemed just like any other young teen in the beginning of the movie, but her character really evolved and became a young woman by the end of the film. I've never seen anything like that in an animated film before.

Been watching it a lot lately...

Probably one of Disney's best in recent years, which I know isn't saying much. This and Bolt were pretty entertaining. Not sure if it will get the "classic" treatment though.

Can't wait for a bluray release of this one...

Gnomeo and Juliet though, no wonder Disney wanted to distance themselves from that one!

Doing a YouTube search on "Disney reuse animation" might provide some insight...
