Beach Club Question

I went to the Beach Club back in the early 2000s and I remember a guy who was always at front greeting people in the entrance. He had a Jamaican or possibly British accent and he was dressed like a captain. He was an African American man. I can't remember anything else distinguishing about him. Does anyone know who I am talking about? If so, is he still there?

His name was Art and no he is no longer there.

The person you are referring to at the Beach Club is Art Lark. He is still there, however mostly on week ends. He does bounce back and forth from there to the Yacht Club from time to time. Art is a 16 year vet at WDW as an official greeter. The only person there longer is Ranger Stan at the Wilderness Lodge.

I thought that both Art the Greeter and Ranger Stan retired in 2009. I was fortunate enough to meet Art in June of 09. Great man. They say he visits Epcot alot, but you probably would not recognize him without his uniform.
