Anyone who just came back, are they still using generic mugs or are they resort specific??

Due to cost cutting, it is highly unlikely to ever see resort specific refillable mugs again.

Yep. Just left the CBR food court 5 min ago. Same as last year. And I agree with the post above that the days of resort specific mugs are probably over, unfortunately.

If the resorts actually enforced the mug rules they'd make enough money on new mug sales to justify individual resort mugs.

I agree with this! I can't believe how many times I see people refilling their water bottles, Nalgenes etc with pop from the self serve fountains.

However, one good thing about this is that there really is not anything to stop you from reusing the mugs that you bought last visit...

What do they look like for 2011 any pics? The one I have from last year is red with mickey, donald, minnie, goofy and pluto on it. I liked it when they were unique to the resort, we were getting quite a collection then.

That's what they look like. Same mug, hasn't changed.

I already have 4 of the black/red/yellow mugs. Looks like I'll have a set of 6 after my trip later this year.

We have quite a few of the resort specific mugs but none of the "generic" ones, so I'm actually looking forward to getting the new ones.

I just wish they had the different styles - the "fat" ones are nice for home while the "skinny" ones made nice traveling mugs when the kids were moving out of sippy cups. They make nice gifts to bring back for coworkers too - not expensive, durable for the trip home, and keep your coffee nice and hot

Ive got two from Allstar Movies from 2006 and two from Pop in 2007. Thats the last time we bought refillable mugs. We've pretty much transitioned to water. Its better for you! Except for the sodium flouride.....

we just returned and they are the same mugs, but there is a beautiful mug that you can buy in the park that is blue with a white handle and lid that i couldnt pass up that has random characters on it.

I miss the big fat mugs. the bottom came off and we would stick our room key in there. It was out of sight and secure. Never worried about someone taking our mug. I wish they would at least change the mug every year.

The 09 mug and the 10 mugs were slightly different. The 09 had skinny white bottoms but I think it is the same picture as the 10 mug. Sad to hear they didn't change it up for 11.

It seems like a lot of resort specific items are gone. I have an Animal Kingdom Lodge mug I bought in 09, but when I statyed at the Poly last summer they didn't have any resort mugs. Same with christmas ornaments, I got one for AKL but couldn't find one for Poly. I asked the CM in the store and she told me they had a different distributer and that was why the resort stuff is no longer available. I was sad.
