Default Real Time TRip Report. Day 6: MK and MVMCP

We r on the bus to MK at 7:50 for an early morning reservation at Crystal Palace. We were able to get this reservation yesterday. We were originally going on 12/2 which is SAMs bday but the park opens at 8 that day so it would have cut into our park time. Everyone is sitting happily on the bus playing with purchases from last night- puffles for the boys, princess Polly pockets for Mimi

8:55 and we are finishing up our breakfast at Crystal Palace. Steve will head out for Space Mountain fast passes and the we will go to see Rapunzel. It's cloudy today and a bit chilly. We are all in turquoise and white but we have our jackets on too. The park is magical and it was awesome to walk up main street with hardly any one there. Park is opening, come on sue come and take our bill!!

Whew space mountain was fun, I screamed like a banshee. Steve is on now with the big kids. Sammy and I are in line to see Buzz. Long line. Crowds are manageable but not small. Our plan is to go on the Buzz ride after this. We have fast passes and Steve also grabbed them for Peter Pan. We might save them for tonight. Wondering if we can collect them throughout the day and use them at the party tonight, we will see if that works. Our plan is to do all of tomorrow land this morning. We are surprising Steve with a haircut on Main Street at noon so we will have to hustle down there soon. Hope to leave here by 2 and be back by 5 for the party. Weather is nice, sunny and cool.

We loved meeting Rapunzel! Great interaction for our kids.

We have yet to ride Space Mountain since it had been refurbed.

Can't wait to hear about the haircut and the party.

Thanks for taking us along as I sit in my tiny office thinking about our next trip... Makes the Disney blues less painful!

It's been a whirlwind two days and now I am so far behind. I know that once I get home, I will be right back to work, kids stuff and the holiday season so I won't have time to do a full trip report so I will try to put everything on this one. It is currently 7:15 on 12/1. Sun is out and we are headed to Epcot again today but I will start where I left off

After we met buzz, we headed to the Harmony Barber Shop to surprise Steve with a haircut. I had to tell him about it before we left since we wanted to get a haircut before vacation but he was a good sport and acted surprised. We had to wait a little bit, standby wait was over an hour, so I was glad we had a reservation. Penny did a really great job on his hair! We headed back to ride Buzz. We got stuck in one part so Steve ended up scoring over 650,000. We walked right on to Carousel of Progress. This was a must see for me since it had been about 15 years. We loved the 90s version of the present time - laser discs!! The kids were good sports and sang the song as we moved from one section to another. Of course that had been on the iPad mix that morning. We walked onto the people mover, I really miss this at Disneyland! Poor Sammy is so nervous every time we go on a unknown ride. We shouldn't have taken him on Tower of Terror.

It was about 2:00 so we decided to walk through Fantasyland and hop in any short lines. We grabbed fast passes for Pooh and then went to plilharmagic. Mimi had a little meltdown so we decided to leave before the show. We grabbed lunch from Casey's Corner and found a little secluded spot down one of the Main Street alleys to eat. Our Chicago dogs were delicious and we got cotton candy and cracker jacks with it due to the dining plan so the kids were very happy. We hopped the boat back to WL for a quick nap and swim

We got to our room about 3:00 and we all laid down for 30 minutes of quiet time. Ben and I headed to the pool for about 30 minutes after that. He had so much fun playing games at the pool and I sat in the jacuzzi and relaxed. At one point the geyser went off, great view of it from the jacuzzi!

We got dressed for MVMCP. The boys in black and grey, girls in plum and grey. Sammy had lost his lanyard and pins the day before at DHS and when I called they had found it and it was at the TTC. We had some photo pass photos taken by the tree in the WL, it's so nice that they do this. Next we headed to MK and had a photo taken on main street. Then Steve left to get Sammy's lanyard. Party info in next post

Ok. Here is my report from mvmcp on Tuesday 11/29. This party was not sold out but the crowds seemed pretty big to me!

    What we loved:
    Ride lines were short
All Cast Members were in cute Christmasy costumes
The atmosphere was very festive and the park looked beautiful
The Christmas parade was top notch
The castle show was really cool
    Wishes was great
The dance parties were un-crowded and a fun way to interact with the characters
The cookies and cocoa were good

    What we didn't love:
Having never been before, it was hard to decide what to do and how to best spend our time
    Character lines were long

    Here is what we did:
    WDW Railroad
    Teacups
    Mickeys Philharmagic

You can not use fast passes from earlier in the day

    More to come soon!

After Philharmagic, we stopped to get cookies and cocoa plus some regular food at pinnocchios it was packed and we ended up losing the big kids we found them right outside the restaurant with a very nice Castmember. Mimi was very upset but we gave them both lots of hugs and let them know they did the right thing by finding an employee. We headed over to the Tomorrowland show and ate. The kids really liked this show. It was 8:00 by this point and I was feeling anxious to get more done so I headed off to see which characters were out. We had walked by Christmas donald in Fantasyland but the kids didn't want to visit. Belle and the Beast were in the Rapunzel area in their holiday finery but the queue was full and the next appearance was 10:00. They said to come about 20 minutes before. I met up with everyone at Cosmic Rays and the kids participated in the dance party with goofy and Pluto for a little while. Mimi and I headed out to find a spot for the upcoming shows but got caught in parade traffic as did the boys when they came to meet us so we watched the parade from the back of the crowd. After ward we got a spot on the curb and watched the castle show followed by wishes.

We realized the kids were too tired to stand in long lines to meet the characters and Mimi looked like she was ready for bed so Steve took her back to the room while I stayed for the late parade with the boys. We headed to frontirland and went to the woody dance party at the diamond horseshoe. This was really fun, Woody and Jessie were very energetic. It was about 10:00 as we walked past splash mountain. I wanted to go see the dwarves but they were way back in the park and I knew we wouldn't be able to visit with them so we skipped this.

I told Sammy that we would go on the perfect ride for him - the magic carpets. He loved it! We had just enough time to head to main street to find a spot for the parade. It was pretty full along the curb so we were one row back but then the people in front of us left so the boys got a nice spot on the curb. I ran to the bathroom and noticed there were lots of spots near the exit.
