Both parks in one day?
Is it possible to visit both Universal parks in one day and still enjoy both of them? I am planning to go on Sunday, Feb 12th.
I have only been to IoA once, back in November, and we were able to finish the whole park in about 4 or 5 hours. It was a 35 minute wait for HP, and everything else was walk-on. Do you think we can expect the same type of crowds this time of year? We would be going at park opening at 9 AM, and staying until close, 7 pm.

Expect the crowds... Doing both parks in 1 day, well, may be possible, but you would really be missing out on EVERYTHING those parks offer... Personally, I wouldn't do both parks in one day, but if you are only looking for certain rides and really don't care about everything else, then I would say it is probably doable...

TRICIA JONES: I heard that you were going to propose to Brandi Svenning at some theme park. When are men going to learn that women want ROMANCE, not Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...
BRODIE: Hey, now, be fair. EVERYONE wants Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Let's see... Spiderman is going down on the 7th. And Jaws is gone. As is Jimmy Neutron. If you do IoA, specifically HP first, then move to Studios, it should be doable. Especially if you're skipping the shows.

Melissa, you are going the week BEFORE the holiday weekend, so I take that back.. I wouldn't really expect large crowds... It is off season...
Spiderman is down, so cross that off your list... potter's wait time, I would expect it to hit 30-45 minutes tops.... Everything else in IOA should have minimal wait times...
In Universal, yes, Jaws is gone... RRRR usually has the longest wait times... I would think the longest you may wait is 20 minutes for MIB, Simpsons, 30 minutes for Mummy... And those are guesses on the high end...

Yes!!! Especially if you have express passes. We went during a very busy HP event in Nov. brlieving there was more to do there, we had purchased 2 day park-park passes. When I realized there was the event I added on the express passes. We finished both parks by 5pm the first day, despite the crowds!

Thanks, everyone!
I heard that we are able to buy one-park passes, and we can upgrade later in the day to two-park passes? If they let us do that, we might go that route just in case, otherwise we will try the 2 park pass. But thanks a bunch everyone! We are probably going to skip the shows and just hit the rides.
We are only doing one day at Universal, and are spending most of the rest of the time at WDW

I actually think it's very possible to see both Universal parks in one day, especially if you're willing to start early and stay late. I've done it a few times.
Definitely start at Islands and see Potter first thing in the morning. During the quiet season, at least based on my experiences, you won't have much of a line at any other attraction.

I hate this question because while it is possible to do both parks in one day I don't recommend it. There is too much to do in each park and rushing through just to get done you will miss alot. It's like going through AK & DHS in one day, it can be done but you won't be doing everything. Many attractions are "let's do that again", they are that much fun. I always suggest to take your time and do one park a day. You will get so much more out of it.

Of Course
Buy an Express pass. You will be able to do both parks at a nice pace without any rushing or missing anything.
