    Default Florida Res. Tickets??

I was looking at buying tickets for my upcoming trip in March. Am I reading this right?

    Disney Website:

Each ticket provides access to one theme park per day. Florida Resident 3-Day and 4-Day Tickets expire 6 months after first use or December 18, 2013, whichever comes first. Blockout dates apply. For the 1-Day ticket, ticket and any options purchased must be used within 14 days of first use. There are no blockout dates for the 1-Day ticket.

I see it's pretty much spelled out, but why are there blockout dates on regular Fl. Res. tickets is my question.. I don’t think we have ever had to worry about this before.

Does this mean my tickets are going to have blockout dates which would be right on the days that I want to use them. I know the "fl res." Discover pass that is $119. Has blockout dates (these are not those tickets) I know I can call, but I don’t have the time to sit on the phone right now. CAN anyone clear this up for me..
Been there, done that and going back!!! See ya real soon !!!

I was surprised about this when I was doing my research for a trip that I was planning last year. This policy has been in place since June of last year when the ticket prices were increased.

    The blockout dates for Regular Florida Resident Passes are March 23, 2013 – April 5, 2013; June 8, 2013 – August 15, 2013; December 19, 2013 – January 3, 2014.

Because of the blackout dates, I now buy a Florida Resident seasonal pass and upgrade to an annual passes if I plan to go to the parks during the blackout dates.

A few years back, I remember they made a fuss about easing the blackout dats on many of the Florida Resident tickets.

It appears that now that they have successfully evened out attendence, the can go back to enforcing the restrictions on those severely discounted tickets.

Disney will honor the policies that were in effect at the time of purchase, so ticket purchased prior to that date in 2012 are still honored under the original terms.
