Default Fantasmic Mama Melrose or Brown Derby?

I have had Mama Melrose before but it has been a long time but never Brown Derby. Is Brown Derby worth using two of my meal tickets on our dinning plan for it or should we just use one and stick with Mama Melrose???

I've eaten at both and enjoyed both. Not sure if I would use 2 TS credits for Brown Derby though. It's not that it isn't good - just not sure it is worth that to me.

I never ate at Mama Melrose but I ate at the Brown Derby once back in 1997 and just felt like it was ok and leaning towards not impressed. As years went on I was always going to go back and give it a shot but the reviews I read never were better than what I felt all those years ago. Also back then the dining plan was much different (cheaper, better). I don't feel that any of the restaurants warrant 2 TS, especially Brown Derby. I feel like if you are going to do a 2 TS, just splurge and pay but pick a CA Grill or Flying Fish in that case.

Brown Derby is good, but there are arguably better uses of two credits. It's at the low end of the list of Signature restaurants I enjoy. I've never eaten at Mama Melrose, though.

I would definitely go with Mama Melrose over The Brown Derby. The latter has proven expensive and disappointing, while Mama Melrose has been consistently satisfying.

Amen. Brown Derby just isn't worth the "signature" designation. Stick with Mama Melrose.

DBF and I ate at mama melrose with th Fantasmic package I December. We have it now on our must do list every trip. We were skeptical on how it would be as we are Italian food snobs. Wow were we impressed. I say save the bale service and go with mama. Haven't eaten at brown derby and I see and hear so many mixed reviews, mostly on the bad end, that I'd be disappointed to ruin a table service credit on something that may be hit or miss.

I haven't eaten at Mama Melrose, but have eaten at Brown Derby. I did not care for it at all. The food was a bit too fancy for me.

Love Brown Derby! Have always gotten a steak and never disappointed. Nice cool place to relax in heat of the day and relaxing.

I think you're making the right choice with Mama Melrose's. If you want to have a signature meal on your trip, choose one of the resort restaurants. I wouldn't spend two credits on the Brown Derby.

I am a huge fan of most of the signature restaurant's but the Brown Derby was disappointing.

We have never had a bad meal at mama melrose
