1900 Park Fare - DISAPPOINTED
We are here at the World now. Last night, we ate at 1900 Park Fare. I now understand why for years this was a hard place to get a ressie at but now there is availability every day.
The food has gone way down since last year. The menu has changed. Although they now give a little basket with an ear of corn, crab legs, two shrimp and a mussel, it's not that good (sorry, I'm from Boston). They still have the carving station with roast beef (that was very good) but they have cut way back on everything else.
We were going to eat here again during our stay, but are now trying to find someplace else to go. Just can't figure out where!!!!!!
On the up side, the weather is not as hot as I thought it was going to be and wasn't what I would say overly crowded at MK yesterday!

Well, we are a little indulged with great seafood up here in New England, so it is often disappointing in other areas. But I'm sorry it was such a letdown. Grand Floridian Cafe has been good for us and that's usually easy to get into, if you wanted a quick switch in the same area. Not a buffet.

Yes we're going to CM tomorrow night. We've never tried Cape May so we may go there (you can't screw up crab legs and littlenecks). Boma was suggested but my picky eater daughters really won't like it there although I would!!!!
I don't know why but it seems one by one, they are changing the food options at the buffets.
Passing thunderstorms and then back to the parks!!!!

Glad I saw this. 1900 park fare has been one of our favorites but we wont eat anything in that basket. I tried Cape May once before and thought it was horrible. Sounds like the food is more on those lines and being from New Orleans that type of boil is just not appealing to us. So disappointed in the changes.

Yes, hard to screw up breakfast.
I forgot to mention that those chicken nuggets that all the kids go for.....been replaced with broiled chicken legs....just legs. Yeah, those were going fast!!!! LOL

How can they replace chicken nuggets!!! It's a staple to almost every child's diet?
After reading many reviews on 1900 Park, I decided to make a lunch ressie in Norway, EPCOT instead of dinner with Cinderella.

That's what I thought too. I don't know why they are making things so different. Is it saving money for Disney? In the long run maybe not because if I didn't have the free dining plan I'd be eating more off property.
I don't know if anyone recalled the olive mix they used to serve.....GONE! I loved those.

I think it is part of the Mickey Check program. A lot of the menus have healthier kids food now. It makes meals much harder for me because my son is extremely picky.

I'm sorry but offering healthier food is fine. But don't force it on a child during vacation. We had the hardest time when my daughter was little when they started the healthier fare. If a child eats chicken and fries every day at home, why on earth is she gonna be happy with turkey rolls and carrot sticks on vacation. And how much help is forcing that gonna be? Just asks for crankier kids because now they are tired AND hungry
