Default Spring Break Crowd vs Summer Heat

Due to our high schoolers academic load, pulling the kids out of school for a week is no longer an option. Our choices are battle the Spring Break crowd April 14-21 or the heat in mid June. Ive experienced June heat, but not spring break crowds. In your opinion, which is more manageable? The heat or crowds?

I would rather have heat than crowds. April 20th is Easter so I would expect your week of choice there to be on the extremely crowded side. June would probably be a better choice in 2014. April Spring Break during weeks when Easter isn't so close isn't bad at all, though.

I would also choose June over Easter.

Give me heat over crowds. Easter week was the busiest I have ever seen WDW.

Definitely June. My worst experience was during the Easter crowds. Miserable!

I will be going April 5-11, how are the crowds that week? I'm guessing pretty busy but hopefully a little less than the next week.

Never been in june. Usually go first or second week of july and I find it very crowded and hot.
    I don't mind either though.
we were there easter week this year and I didn't think the crowds were as heavy as july.

I'd pick spring break over the summer evey time. We just went last August and I assume I was temporarily insane when I made that decision. We will NEVER go in the summer again. It was miserable.

Generally speaking I would choose heat over crushing crowds. I can't deal with super huge crowds even in milder temps. Besides, April can be pretty hot anyway.

I think it's going to be okay then, with Easter still a few weeks off. Probably some crowds, as there always are now, but not terrible.

It's a toss up really - definitely not as toasty in April as a trip anytime between June into September. June is also the rainiest month of the year. But the crowds are no doubt a little heavier during that limited spring break period....add Easter crowds with the sometimes unruly high school/college kids and it gets a little chaotic to say the least. I've done both and I would probably choose June and go just before the 4th of July crowds descend. Either way ENJOY!!

Spring Break may me more crowded than June, but don't fall into the trap of thinking June will not be crowded also. It may not be quite the madhouse as Spring Break, but the parks will be very crowded, the lines very long and it will be HUMID and HOT. Since they are going to be limiting FP's by then (assuming the new FP+ is fully implemented) I'm not so sure I'd pick June over the cooler temps in spite of the crowd. We've been in June a couple of times before, and we just had to grin and bear it with the heat, but the way we dealt with the long lines was to use FPs to the max, 6-7 per day, in more than one park, too. If they start limiting those to only 3 per day, I'm not sure I'd want to wait in the long lines in 95+ heat. I'd just as soon wait in long lines during Spring Break when the temps are a little cooler.
The one advantage to June may be that the parks will probably be open til midnight or later on more days during the summer.

We were there at Easter this year... it was crowded, but manageable if you know the parks well. We were there Christmas week several years ago and that was a lot worse crowd wise than Easter. I haven't been to WDW during the summer months since I was a little girl, but I would assume you are still going to have moderate crowds on top of the heat.

It's really up to whether you want to deal with the heat and crowds... I will say that our Spring Break runs from Holy Thursday through the week AFTER Easter, so the crowds really started to dissipate after Easter Monday. We did hear that the week leading up to Easter was pretty crazy this year!

You can escape the heat, but you certainly cannot escape the crowds. June is not that bad anyway, so long as you know what you're doing, what you want to see.....basically know how to navigate the parks. Have fun !!
