How hard is it to eat lunch here without the FastPass plus?

Busy, but far from impossible.

Like everything else, go early and be prepared for a wait.

We ate there last summer, before there was FP+ and the line stretched across the bridge and around the corner. We were told that it would be 60 minutes, but it was closer to 40 (and that included ordering and sitting down with our food).

We've ate there several times without FP's.
I think our longest wait was roughly 30 minutes.

We have eaten there severla times at lunch. get in line 30 minutes or so before opening and you wont have any difficulty at all. If you want to sit in the rose room you may wanna be in the front end of the line since everyone heads there first.

We did fast pass for this a few weeks ago right when it opened and the line for non fast pass at opening was so long. I couldn't even imagine waiting that long to eat here but others are saying it goes quick(maybe worse then it looks). We were the first people through the door and it was so nice. Good luck.

Last year also before FP+ was available, at the recommendation of Intercot Folks, we got in line about 10:15 for an early lunch, no breakfast and got in very, very quickly. We were in site of the door and watched to line grow quickly behind us and around the rocks toward the Mermaid Ride. We were able to order and choose the Room we wanted. Gonna do it again in September with the FP+ option.
