What things do you do other than parks
We are going for 2 weeks in November. We bought 10 day tickets. I am trying to come up with plenty to do the other days. What all do you do other than parks and swimming? We have a day planned for Downtown Disney and two days planned for hotel hopping/shopping/restaurants.
Any other ideas for the last day? DH thinks we should only be planning 12 days, but I would really like an entire 2 weeks this time.

DW and I are going in July for our anniversary. We are not going to spend any time in the parks in the typical fashion. We are treating ourselves to the Backstage Magic tour. It is expensive, but if you have a Disney Visa, you do get some off on the price. We are going to all four parks and a meal at the Wispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge. Also, the tree farm. It does not require a theme park ticket (It shouldn't at the price of the tour). On the other days we are going hotel hop and go to Disney Springs.

We have done all sorts of things on days off.
If we are there around the holidays we usually take a few hours on a few different days to resort hop to see all the decor.
We have rented the two seater Sea Raycers on a few occasions.
My kids have done the Pirate Cruise from CBR.
We've spent some time looking at the animals and participating in some of the activities at AKL, including using the night vision goggles.
We have rented surrey bikes at a few different locations. Renting from the Boardwalk was the funnest.
Spending an evening on the Boardwalk is always lots of fun.
We have done the dine in movie at Downtown Disney.
Shopping and dining in Downtown Disney plenty of times.
We have done the water parks.
DH has golfed a few times.
DH and I did a couples massage, and DH has done a few massages at a few different spas.
We also spend portions of days off at our resort pool.
Most of the resorts have a nightly fire and movie outside, complete with roasting marshmallows. The fire and movie at Fort Wilderness has an appearance by Chip and Dale. We have done this at nearly half the resorts and it's always a fun end to a day.
There are a few dinner shows that would be good to do at the end of a day off. We enjoyed the Luau, but wouldn't rush back to do it again. Although I hear Hoop de Doo is better.
Also for evening entertainment some of the resorts have carriage rides. Around the holidays Fort Wilderness does a holiday "sleigh" ride that is lots of fun.
There is also a bowling ally, hot air balloon ride, and Cirque at DTD.
You can choose from two different mini golf courses.
Fort Wilderness has lots of stuff to do on a day off.
There's really tons to do outside of the parks.

- Spend the day at the pool - if you want to splurge, reserve a cabana for the day.
- Wander around Downtown Disney.
- Check out all the other resorts on property.
- Go to Fort Wilderness and rent bicycles or a canoe or a float boat.
- Go to Animal Kingdom and check out the animals.
- Go to Wilderness Lodge and get a hidden Mickey hunt list from the front desk (I'm guessing they still have this available?)
- Go to a water park for the day
- Play mini golf
We never seem to have trouble filling our days when we are at Disney!!

We book at least one "off" day each trip. Other than parks & DTD, we try some special dining (like the Afternoon Tea @ GF), or a relaxing pool day, followed by a dinner show (like Hoop-Dee-Doo).
We've also headed over to City Walk at Universal to look around and eat, or even taken a day to head over to Kennedy Space Center (if you're looking to leave Disney).

At POR you can cane-pole fish off a dock near the main pool. You can also take a boat to and from DTD from their marina. Last time we were there you could rent watercraft vehicles. Certain nights of the week they have a piano lounge entertainer.

Visit different resorts and restaurants at those resorts. Ohana, for example, is highly recommended! We loved walking around the Polynesian, too. Sanaa at AKL was also fantastic.

You could just leave that day open and see what you feel like doing.
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

Try going to Port Orleans Riverside and catch the Piano Man. A great night of entertainment. You'd have to find out what nights he's there. We also like going to Sea World.

You could also venture out a bit...there are some good outlet malls around Orlando, and two of them have really good, official Disney outlets. We've found various princess dresses there over the years for $20.
Also, you're not terribly far from Cape Canaveral. Checking out the "Space Coast" is really interesting.

Next up - January 2023 short trip! We just want to try that 50th Anniversary chocolate monstrosity at Mexico!

Last trip we went horseback riding at Fort Wilderness. There is a trail ride that requires reservations (ages 9 and up) and pony rides for the younger kids that you just walk up to. You can also visit the stable and view the beautiful horses, including the ones that pull Cinderella's coach. We had lunch there and then took a boat over to Wilderness Lodge (also runs to MK). A very relaxing day! I think they also have wagon rides in the evening and a campfire, but we haven't done those things yet.
Visits - too many to count!
