magical jouneys
I have had a great experience so far booking for the first time with magical journeys but a just a little nervous doing everything via e-mail. Is that secure and do they discard your card info when payment is done? Just trying to be safe.

I have never had an issue when dealing with Magical Journeys. I'm not sure what their current security procedures are but I know they were very careful about protecting my credit card information when I dealt with them. (The only reason I do not use them any longer is that I am now a vacation club owner and need to book my stays differently.)

I've been booking with them over 10 years. I can't count the number of trips I've booked through MJ and never had an issue. I know Wendy has securely stored my CC info. I gave that over the phone rather than email. But she keeps it stored so all I have to do in my email is say, "Book on the usual card" and it's done. That way I don't have to give my card number every time I book.

Ive used them for three trips including the up coming in June.
Ive NEVER had an issue with them and my card number. I use email and nothing has been wrong or happened with any transaction.
I won't use anyone else for Disney booking.

Agreed. Been using MJ for years as well - my information has always been kept confidential and my card numbers secure. They really are great!

Nothing is really that secure. Why you ask? Because a week ago I received emails/phone calls from Chase Disney Visa that someone was trying to use my card in Texas and online (I live in Massachusetts). Here's the thing. I haven't used the card or even removed it from my wallet since last August at the Trails End buffet and the only place the card number exists is on the Disney website to secure ADR's. I called Disney and told them and they were reporting it to higher ups.
Bottom line - I would feel quite safe (more so than Disney right now) using it with Magical Journeys (even if by email) because of their good reputation!

I've been booking thru Magical Journeys for years now. They will work with you if you do not want to send your CC# thru email - either by sending a bit at a time in multiple emails, or by calling and giving it to them that way.
They will keep you and your information on record should you want to book thru them in the future. I have never had a problem with security, nor have I been unhappy with their service.

HI,
I am not sure which of our agents you are working with (can't tell from your Intercot profile who you are lol) but we all have very secure systems for credit cards and are happy to talk with you about any concerns you may have.
I would suggest emailing your agent with any concerns you might have and if you feel more comfortable, ask them for alternative methods to communicate such as a phone call, fax, etc.
If you are working with me, I am absolutely most happy to give you a call!

Never had any problems with Magical Journeys and have always used CC for payments.
But the ONLY way to completely eliminate the risk of CC or ID theft/fraud is to get off the grid and go live in the woods like a hermit without any connection to modern society. Use only currency, no cell phone, no utility company or bank accounts, etc.
Otherwise, your personal information will be on somebody's computer system somewhere, and no matter what anybody says, that information can be accessed and stolen by someone determined enough to do so. Even your employer's data systems which contain your personal bio info is vulnerable. Heck, if you pay taxes, your info with the IRS could be hacked.
But nobody really wants to live completely off the grid. So we all are willing to accept some level of risk. But one way you can reduce the risk of CC fraud is to not put your CC# in writing via text or email if possible. Make a voice call and give them the number that way.

If you carry your card in your wallet and don't have RFID blocking, it could have been fraudulently scanned anywhere. Happens all the time.

Magical Journeys (and Kathy Peacock) have been great over the years. I'm sure they're insured and bonded. The best part of MJ is that they watch the Disney offers to make sure you get the absolute best deal. Good luck!
