Default 10 perfect days at WDW

Just got back from 10 wonderful days at WDW. The weather was very nice, very little rain and only a couple of humid days. The crowds were CRAZY! Never have seen it that crowded so early in December. We had to make a few minor adjustments to plans but we were able to work around the crowds.

The monorail had issues some days and some of the cast members were grumbling about it being more of a normal occurance for it to be down. Buses ran fairly smooth and only a couple of long waits.

It seems in 10 days we would be able to get all our favorites in but we didn't.

Shades of Green was great. We had long park days and it was nice to come back to our comfy bed each night. We walked to and from Poly most of the time for transportation but if you time it right SOG buses and drivers are wonderful.

Enjoyed all the holiday decorations. The only new holiday entertainment/ decoration I saw was the China New Year Lion. That show was fun to watch.

Disney Springs was fun to walk around in and lots of great new dining and shops.

Glad we were able to enjoy Osbourne Lights- great as always. Enjoyed looking in Mr. Gold's pawn shop window at Once Upon a Time props. The new dance party outside at studios was fun. The new Star Wars Launch Bay was ok but sad to be in the building that used to hold some of my favorite attractions.

Lots of sheriff, security and dogs very visible at parks, especially at Magic Kingdom. First day at MK I thought something had happened but after 1st park day got used to seeing all the security. Everywhere.

Also spent one say at Legoland. Had a good time and enjoyed walking around the old Cypress Gardens land. Bet that was a beautiful place when it was open. Still some pretty areas but a lot of it has gone wild.

Can't wait to start planning our next trip. This one was one of our best. Glad the weather cooperated and stayed warm and dry for most of the time. Our last night was rainy but we just gave up mini golf and stayed inside at our friends OKW condo. Love that resort - first time seeing the rooms.

Next trip planned for October 2016 and a friend's wedding at Grand Floridian!

I love those kinds of trips. Mostly, ours go that way with minor snags here and there. I've never done a 10 day trip. That's fantastic! I'm glad you had a great time, especially this time of year.

Sounds like it was a great trip! Our time there must have overlapped as we just got back a few days ago and, yes, it was very busy and there was certainly an increased security presence.
