    Default Free Dining September?

Anyone have any insider information when (or if) free dining will be rolled out again for the fall? We're booked for 9/9-9/18. Went the same week last year and was able to take advantage of the promo. We're already booked but I assume when/if the promo is rolled out, I can just call to have our reservation modified? Would you agree?

Not necessarily. Rumor mill says they may not offer it this year. If they do it will be very limited as to availability so for example if your hotel is very booked they might not offer it at that hotel. If you have a great travel agent they will be able to help. Last year they announced it around April 20th. Good luck!!

A lot of buzz on some other sites that an announcement will come any day. Although it is early, so who knows.

I am not sure either if there is going to be free dining offered for Sept.

I would suggest contacting someone for Magical Journeys ( Intercot Sponsor ) and transfer your reservation to them as they will monitor your reservation for any specials or discounts and apply them for you and they will then notify you of the savings.

I have been using Magical Journeys since 2007 and have never looked back. They do all the hard work letting you just do the planning. Best of all their service is FREE..

    Hope this help..

I am so hoping for the free dining offer this year, end of August, beginning of September would be GREAT! It will be just DH and I this time. Both DD's are busy with college classes.

I have seen another rumor (in an email I got from a discount site) that the dates will be:

    August 23 - October 1, 2016
    November 15 - 21, 2016
    November 26 - 28, 2016
    December 10 - 21, 2016

My wife and were looking at it, and not sure it makes sense. The August to October is fine, but the other dates....November 21st? December 21st? That would make it so that anyone who started their vacation on those dates would have free dining through the busiest weeks of the year, which is counter to the whole reason for offering free dining...attracting visitors during lower times.

    Thoughts?

I saw this too. It was posted on a travel agents website but quickly taken down. They could be revamping the dates....but who knows!

My family also took advantage of that date, and we were able to stay at Coronado Springs Resort during Christmas Week last year. I'm hoping for free dining for this September also!

I saw this too and I'm soooo hoping that it comes out with these exact dates! I already have a trip booked for 11/18-11/28 as we are going to the Destination D event on the 19th and 20th and we would LOVE to have free dining again! I heard it is supposed to come out on Thursday... That's also when Destination D tickets go on sale so I'm wondering if they want to let it out on that date (or let the group of dates before Thanksgiving go all the way to the 21st) for some reason because of this...

We have reservations for November and would love the free dining. However, we have a military discount. Are you able to receive the free dining with military discount?

No other discounts apply with free dining offer.
Watch early Thursday morning, been seeing rumors that the free dining booking might start this week. Possibly on 21st.

No room discount anyways, but you could use the military discount for tickets, and save package tickets for later use.

We quite enjoy it as we often bring my mom along or others in our family who are on a fixed income such as disability. With free dining they can eat for free and we just pay the rack rate (sometimes they chip in towards that too which helps) and they pay for their park ticket and airfare. It makes it more manageable for them as they then know that food is covered and they don't have any surprises.

It all depends on how many are in your party. There are four in my family, and since the youngest is 11, that means that we all are adults on the dining plan. For us, if we were to buy the dining plan and use a room rate discount, we'd get maybe a 30% rate on a moderate. That is only a savings of about $60-70/night. If we did the free dining plan, our room may be $200-250 a night paying rack rate, but we save almost $250 a day on dining. I mean, it's a no-brainer. We figure that for our traditional 8 day trips, we save about $2000 with free dining. To beat that with a room discount, they'd have to give us the room for free.
