Golf cart
How far in advance can I book/hold the golf cart. Do they have plenty enough that I don't even need to book it early?

Reservations can be made up to one year in advance. There are a limited number and, depending on time of year, they could be "sold out". I'd suggest making a reservation to be sure you have one available to you.

We were there in late September, and they had loads of carts available at the rental area, and many dozen more in the storage yard where you return your cart. We were able to get one without a reservation with no problem.

We were there in August and we also noticed many carts available. If we ever stay at the cabins again, I don't think I'd rent it for the whole week - just the days we needed it. There were some days we didn't use it at all as we had a rental car and drove to every park except the MK.

We where there last year during Christmas week (i.e. the busiest week of the year) and essentially there were no golf cart available at check in if you didn't have one reserved but they were available to reserve for the following day. Therefore, even making a reservation a few days ahead should be no problem but if you know you're going to need on there's no reason not to pull the trigger.

the past doesn't always predict the future. since we have hears at least 100 times golf cart "sell out", if the question poster really wants to rent a cart, s/he should make a reservation.

I will say that we rented from off-site this past August and will NEVER do it again. The cart was inoperable for the first couple days we had it. I was supposed to receive a refund but never did. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for!!!!

We went back and forth about the on-site/off-site rental, and finally decided that off-site was just too complicated for our limited vacation time. We did book in advance, enjoyed the cart, and decided to drop it off a couple of days early (Hermine was coming ashore and we knew we wouldn't use it) and we didn't pay for those days. Super easy!
