I am a little surprised to find myself in the minority, or maybe I am just the first to comment. I hope my opinion is also welcome to this discussion.

I think this change is good. Personally, I feel any depiction of auctioning off human beings, no matter how tongue-in-cheek or imaginary it may be, is wrong and shouldn't be ok in 2017. The intent no longer matches the impact. It's not funny to me. I would cringe during that scene of the ride. I am not a huge fan of Pirates to begin with, I have no childhood attachments to it at all, so I can't put myself in the shoes of someone who is upset about this, but I can understand why you would be. But I think this is good and needed, and if I'm the only INTERCOT member who feels that way, then that's ok with me

Of course it is welcome. We don't always have to agree with each other to respect each other's opinion.
