3/01-11/01 - Doge's Palace building facade totally rehabbed,
walls up around base of building providing tunnels to shops
in early March 2001. Scaffolding followed and then covered
over by huge tarp which was painted to look exactly like
the building. The tarp remained through mid-Oct. 2001 (except
for a few days around 9/14/01 when hurricane threatened
area).
late 3/02 - today : Camponille bell tower scaffolding surrounded
while renovation of tower completed (at
least 10/10/02 still covered) -
